It could be easy to get lost in the day to day routines of life on Galador. Wake up, make breakfast. Jude, Jamie, Whitney and Kyla. Work. Dinner. Homework. Laughter. Arguments. And everything in between. It was a happy and full life. The kind of life Isabel had always dreamed of. One where she could truly be herself, and still be normal at the same time. She tried never to take it for granted, but sometimes she did need something to come along and remind her to be aware of just how lucky she was. Her second wedding anniversary was the perfect time for reflection. And so amid all her hustling, bustling, and planning for the Christmas season, Isabel also made time to stop and focus on her wonderful, selfless, always loving husband. Originally she had planned some stargazing for the two of them. It had always been one of their favorite activities to do together. But the unexpected blizzard had put a halt to those plans. Instead they had gone to Halliwell's for a romantic, candlelit dinner. Then they'd returned home to cuddle up by the fireplace. Isabel, being Isabel, had worn a knockout Little Black Dress when they'd gone to dinner. But once they'd returned home, she slipped into a cozy sweater and a pair of pajama bottoms she had shamelessly stolen from Alex. He'd built a fire, she'd put in her copy of Rudolph, and as they lay curled up together with the snow falling softly outside the window, Isabel was overwhelmed with love and utter contentment. |
