Scorpius was starting to feel better over the past week or so, having finally moved past all the pain that involved with his mother being sent back home to their world. Some of it still lingered subconsciously, which is why he decided to just sign his name up. He needed this. He knew he did too. He needed to get back out and socialize. He needed to have fun again. Of course, putting his name down for a blind date and being open to anyone might not have been his first open. But what the hell, why not jump in with both feet.
He had tried to not be nervous when the message was sent to him, that he was to be joined by Jesse Turner as his blind date. Another young man like himself? A man. Well, he did say he was open to anything. And if he were honest with himself, then he'd also admit that he always had a quiet attraction for guys in school, though never acting upon it. He did know that he always felt really happy when he and his best friend hugged each other. He hoped no one from Hogwarts would see him here tonight. He briefly wondered if he should tell his friends at least. But now, there was little time, he had to be ready. He sort of had an idea of what Jesse looked like, vaguely. Had seen him maybe once or twice on the network? He looked fairly nice. But the blond knew nothing else about him.
So that meant that this date can go either way, Scorpius thought. Maybe they could eat at least. Possibly if it went well, he idly wondered if they might even end up in a bed together. He shivered, trying not to think of that so early- oh, too late. Oh well. In any case, he had gotten himself all cleaned up and wore blue pants with a green shirt, and dark jacket. He had come here himself just several minutes before. He didn't wait long, before he'd seen the young man come in and speak to the hostess, who pointed to the blond. Well now, he looted alright. Better than alright, really. Damn. Scorpius just sat up a little, making eye contact and waving to him, motioning for him to come join him at the table.
