Where: Aerith Gainsbourgh's House and Gardens
When: December 10th at Sunset

Aerith's gardens were beyond imagination. At every turn one discovered another magical floral creation. When Kate first spotted the gardens she knew it would be perfect for a wedding at sundown. Literally it took one's breath away. When Kate's friend offered her the use of the gardens for the wedding venue, Katherine Ann Austin thought Aerith was just being kind. The dark-haired felon had never seen a private garden such as this one. Reminding her of a garden one might find in a magazine, the young mother was enthralled. The house was just as lovely. Having a home wedding was a pain, but Aerith took on that burden with pleasure. Kate would never be able to repay this kindness, except with friendship and that was all Aerith wanted.
Saturday morning the clan was up early. They had successfully bought out all white Christmas lights to string through the delicate plants and overhangs. For two days they spent all of their free time preparing the house and gardens. It was something they could do as a family. Jake and Kate both had to smile at how the older kids were getting along. Aaron seemed to fit right in with the family. There were a few awkward moments, but for the most part it was a bonding experience. The six-year-old twins put out the candles in clusters. The candles weren't the way Kate envisioned, but they were adorable. The photographer, Jon, came over taking some pre-wedding candid pictures of the family. When Sunday night came all of them were exhausted, but the good kind of exhaustion.
On Monday morning chaos ensued as the three older Jensen/Austin kids buzzed about the upcoming nuptials. Kate couldn't help but laugh as the six-year-old Morty tried to act like Aaron. It was monkey see, monkey do. Any concerns about Aaron fitting in vanished.
The older Morty and Hazel looked beautiful in their bridesmaids dresses. Kate was so proud of them, her heart swelled with pride. Kate decided that they all go barefooted so Morty senior wouldn't have to deal with high heels.
As the caterers and wait staff arrived Kate stared in the mirror, she almost didn't recognize herself. The wedding dress was made for Kate, it fit every curve of her body. For once in her life she felt gorgeous. The bouquet was purple calla lilies, purple roses and white vendalla roses. In her hair she wore a ring of calla lilies, roses, daises and purple and white petunias. Morty and Hazel wore matching flower rings on their heads as did little Clara. Clara wore her big girl dress. The flower girl dress was adorable and fit with the bridesmaids dresses.
Before Aaron appeared in Galador, Wade Wilson asked Kate if he could give her away. Wade was her first friend from way back in another timeline. She ended up wherever Wade and Jake were. After a lot of contemplation, Kate decided both Aaron and Wade should give her away.
Aaron was all decked out, just like Jake. Six-year-old twin Morty was a mini Jake. The tinier tux really made him look older than six. Kate was thankful that Wade made an attempt at fitting in, arriving in a full tux and his mask. Regina Mills Loxely was the officiant. As the bridal party walked toward Regina, Kate's heart beat excitedly. Regina was glamorous in her own way. Her smile made Kate calm down.
Walking down under the natural flower archway Kate zoomed in on Jake, her smile just for him. The twins got out of line and ran to their father. Clara did dump blob's of flower petals as she ran. It was a good thing the rings were tied to the pillow or the ring bearer Morty would have lost them both.
Kate was glad she was the first one to ask Regina to perform a wedding. Regina was remarkable. The ceremony was not only elegant but also inspiring, Regina brought people to tears. The scenery was magnificent. The sun played with the clouds as it began to set. Long fingers of sunlight filtered through those clouds in pinks, yellows and purples. After dusk, the bridal party and guests sat down for dinner. The choices were a filet of beef, chicken marsala and a tofu turkey. The wine freely flowed.
It wasn't long before the children got tired. Kate took Clara, while Jake took Morty Jr. to a guest bedroom to sleep. The children were literally falling asleep as the adults got the children into their pjs.
For dessert, they feasted on the on the bride's cake and the groom's cake.
This was the wedding dream of a lifetime. Jake and Kate took time to have a few minutes to themselves for a private kiss. Kate thanked God for her blessings. Taking a few deep breaths, the couple kissed again and then got ready to meet their guests.
