Who: Jensen and Austin clans, Regina and Robin Locksley, Jon Byers, Dead Pool, open to all; multiple threads are welcomed
What: Jake Jensen and Kate Austin nuptials and reception
Where: Aerith Gainsbourgh's House and Gardens
When: December 10th at Sunset
Status: Open and ongoing

Aerith's gardens were beyond imagination. At every turn one discovered another magical floral creation. When Kate first spotted the gardens she knew it would be perfect for a wedding at sundown. Literally it took one's breath away. When Kate's friend offered her the use of the gardens for the wedding venue, Katherine Ann Austin thought Aerith was just being kind. The dark-haired felon had never seen a private garden such as this one. Reminding her of a garden one might find in a magazine, the young mother was enthralled. The house was just as lovely. Having a home wedding was a pain, but Aerith took on that burden with pleasure. Kate would never be able to repay this kindness, except with friendship and that was all Aerith wanted.

Saturday morning the clan was up early. They had successfully bought out all white Christmas lights to string through the delicate plants and overhangs. For two days they spent all of their free time preparing the house and gardens. It was something they could do as a family. Jake and Kate both had to smile at how the older kids were getting along. Aaron seemed to fit right in with the family. There were a few awkward moments, but for the most part it was a bonding experience. The six-year-old twins put out the candles in clusters. The candles weren't the way Kate envisioned, but they were adorable. The photographer, Jon, came over taking some pre-wedding candid pictures of the family. When Sunday night came all of them were exhausted, but the good kind of exhaustion.

On Monday morning chaos ensued as the three older Jensen/Austin kids buzzed about the upcoming nuptials. Kate couldn't help but laugh as the six-year-old Morty tried to act like Aaron. It was monkey see, monkey do. Any concerns about Aaron fitting in vanished.

The older Morty and Hazel looked beautiful in their bridesmaids dresses. Kate was so proud of them, her heart swelled with pride. Kate decided that they all go barefooted so Morty senior wouldn't have to deal with high heels.

As the caterers and wait staff arrived Kate stared in the mirror, she almost didn't recognize herself. The wedding dress was made for Kate, it fit every curve of her body. For once in her life she felt gorgeous. The bouquet was purple calla lilies, purple roses and white vendalla roses. In her hair she wore a ring of calla lilies, roses, daises and purple and white petunias. Morty and Hazel wore matching flower rings on their heads as did little Clara. Clara wore her big girl dress. The flower girl dress was adorable and fit with the bridesmaids dresses.

Before Aaron appeared in Galador, Wade Wilson asked Kate if he could give her away. Wade was her first friend from way back in another timeline. She ended up wherever Wade and Jake were. After a lot of contemplation, Kate decided both Aaron and Wade should give her away.

Aaron was all decked out, just like Jake. Six-year-old twin Morty was a mini Jake. The tinier tux really made him look older than six. Kate was thankful that Wade made an attempt at fitting in, arriving in a full tux and his mask. Regina Mills Loxely was the officiant. As the bridal party walked toward Regina, Kate's heart beat excitedly. Regina was glamorous in her own way. Her smile made Kate calm down.
Walking down under the natural flower archway Kate zoomed in on Jake, her smile just for him. The twins got out of line and ran to their father. Clara did dump blob's of flower petals as she ran. It was a good thing the rings were tied to the pillow or the ring bearer Morty would have lost them both.

Kate was glad she was the first one to ask Regina to perform a wedding. Regina was remarkable. The ceremony was not only elegant but also inspiring, Regina brought people to tears. The scenery was magnificent. The sun played with the clouds as it began to set. Long fingers of sunlight filtered through those clouds in pinks, yellows and purples. After dusk, the bridal party and guests sat down for dinner. The choices were a filet of beef, chicken marsala and a tofu turkey. The wine freely flowed.

It wasn't long before the children got tired. Kate took Clara, while Jake took Morty Jr. to a guest bedroom to sleep. The children were literally falling asleep as the adults got the children into their pjs.

For dessert, they feasted on the on the bride's cake and the groom's cake.

This was the wedding dream of a lifetime. Jake and Kate took time to have a few minutes to themselves for a private kiss. Kate thanked God for her blessings. Taking a few deep breaths, the couple kissed again and then got ready to meet their guests.

For a moment and only in those briefest of moments did Kate think of Jack. Her first family had been with Jack and Aaron. Now she thought of him fondly, it's nowhere near the love she felt for Jake.

Earlier Kate watched Clara twirl in her dress, bringing Mrs. Jake Jensen back to reality. She stopped the little twin from spinning, when Clara yelled, "Ha." The bride laughed a happy sound floating through the air, landing softly on one's eardrum.

Before this moment she was Kate Austin, now she was Kate Austin Jensen. She felt the universe was giving her a do-over. She was given another chance. The magic of love allowed her to forgive herself for her past tragic sins.

Finally she was alone with Jake. Ardently, she'd kissed him. Said a prayer then kissed Jake again. She could taste the sweetness of his mouth. She couldn't quite determine the taste but she always liked it.

Beaming with pride, her hand holding his, fingers intertwining. The walked over to the moonlight garden. The speed in which the flowers opened gave them an errie sense of time-lapse photography. Slowly the gardens started to smell like night-blooming Jasmine. It was truly a fairytale experience.

The DJ put on the record the newlyweds were to dance to. It was 'At Last,' by Etta James. Kate gave he bouquet to Hazel to put on the table with the bride's cake. Slowly Jake and Kate moved effortlessly across the dance Floor. The next dance was Jake and Hazel and Kate and Aaron. Fially the last of the dances for them, afterall the little family was the most important thing to each of them.

Now Jake took Morty out on the dance floor as Kate danced with Hazel, then finally she danced with Morty the elder.

It came time for the couple to spend time with their guests. "I love you," she whispered to Jake. Some guests were dancing, others weren't. The beaming bride and Jake walked up to some of their guests.

This wasn't Jake's first wedding after being pulled by an unknown force. It had been almost five years since the first one. He thought he had found his soul mate when he married Donna Noble. He didn't know what was out there in the universe for him. It was different, all the times he had come to the same place as Kate. It wasn't a love he could compare to his love for Donna. He would never compare the two. They were both true, deep, and completely different.

He just knew as he walked with Kate through the gardens. He was home and nothing could change that feeling he had. He was only thankful that he could finally call her his wife.

He walked along with her until they reached the dance floor. He could hear the music they had chosen for the first dance. He put his arms around his wife and love. "I love you too," he whispered back as they moved to the music. "I'm glad we're dancing. It means we have a moment alone." He wasn't quite ready to share her with the world.

Kate lay her head on Jake's shoulder as they danced. It was almost by rote that her feet moved in harmony with his. Her right hand was around Jake's neck. Her engagement ring picked up the lights so thoughtfully hung the day before. It was perfect.

They were like one person instead of two separate beings. She felt so safe in his arms. She saw her children out on the dance floor. Whispering in Jake's ear to look at them goofing off on the dance floor. Kate couldn't help but smile as she watched.

Her past sins forgotten, she felt very blessed indeed. She knew he must be thinking of Donna on the day. Kate closed her eyes and said a silent thank you to Donna for the beautiful children who had no memories of their biological mother.

"Does this night have to end?" She asked her husband as the song finished and the DJ played another.

Jake didn't want this night to end either. He wanted to enjoy that first day as newlyweds feel. As soon as it was over he knew they had to go back to be mom and dad. No time to simply enjoy being husband and wife, just the two of them. It would always be the many of them. Except in this moment, during this song. It was just the two of them right now.

That was until he looked over to see the twins being their normal selves. He saw so much of Donna in Clara. Oddly enough he saw Kate in the both. Not in looks but in who they were. That was better. "They take after you," He whispered as he looked back to the woman in front of them.

"Eventually but not yet," He said as he continued to dance. He didn't care what tempo the music was. He liked what they were doing right then.

Kate snuggled up to Jensen. Calling him by his last name was her nickname for him. She was, at this moment, completely, blissfully happy. "They take after you too, you know," she said as she kissed him several times in succession. Quick, loving kisses that held a promise for later.

"Are you happy, husband?" She loved that she could finally call him her husband. "I love you, Jensen."

"Yeah, the knack for getting in and out of trouble," Jake laughed as he thought it would be a good skill for his kids to have. He wouldn't want them to be stuck in a situation they couldn't get out of. He didn't mind the kisses from his wife. It made the moment even better to be swaying there to the music while he stole several kisses from his love. "I am so happy," he said as he looked down into her eyes. "I love you too, Mrs. Jensen."

Kate blushed. She loved hearing her new name. Things were so perfect, it was almost scary, as if some evil somewhere was lurking for her.

Shaking her head to clear it, she swayed in time with the music, in her handsome husband's arms.

She tilted her head to get Jake to look to his left, "they are adorable you know. But then with you as their dad they can't miss."

Kate wasn't the only one that loved her new name. Jake was pretty fond of it as well and he was more than happy to share it with her. That, and everyday of their lives moving froward as they raised their beautiful family. It was funny how his road led to this. It wasn't something he ever expected when he showed up in Las Vegas and now on an alien planet with his family and wife.

"Two little ginger troublemakers," he laughed as he looked from his wife to the children again. Then quickly looked around to Hazel and the older Morty then back to his wife. "It's about time, right?" That they made this official and got married.

I adore those ginger-headed trouble makers, that they get from their dad. I love that they are little yous. I guess it is time to go and visit with our guests. I have to be honest and say I prefer just to dance with you.

"I don't think we have go to the guest yet," Jensen said as held onto his wife. He was perfectly good with dancing a little bit longer. He didn't think anyone was leaving before they cut the cake. So it seemed like they had all the time in the world. "If that's okay with you." Because it just felt right to have a moment to themselves.

"That is perfectly fine. If a guest leaves a guest leaves. I prefer being in your arms, besides I love this song." 'At Last,' started playing and Kate put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Softly she sang with Etta James who was the original singer. "my love has come along," she softly sang in Jensen's ear.

Jake wasn't really too worried about a guest leaving before they had a chance to go around. He was fine with being with his wife for a little while. He didn't think anyone else would mind either. It wasn't like they didn't know it was a time to be selfish. They had just got married. No one would blame them for wanting to be together. Just the two of them before it would be the all of them.

"Yes, I have," he answered to her singing along with the song that was playing. He knew she was singing along with the song but his answer went so perfectly with it.

Unbidden, a tear of joy leaked out of her left eye. Gently she swayed to the music following his lead. "I could be this way forever, if the children would allow."

Jensen wasn't sure who said they couldn't stay like that forever. He was perfectly fine swaying in her arms until the end of time. He knew there would be an end. Donna mentioned that the Doctor had been there but it wasn't for a very long time. So he would be there with Kate and their children for that long. He knew it in his heart that he would be. He gently pressed his body against hers. Lowering his head so it rest down next to hers, almost on her shoulder. Not a word coming from his mouth in the moment as he just loved her.

A contented sigh left her lips, she was truly, madly and deeply in love with Jake Jensen. How different her life was when she was on the island. Even Sawyer seemed happy. She thought of Jack and she missed him, but this time she missed him she didn't love him anymore. She felt sorry for Aaron that he wouldn't know his uncle, but he was getting a father in Jake. Looking up, head still next to Jensen's, she looked at the children. They were entertaining, the kids were dancing in a circle.

"Let's go dance with the children," Kate whispered in his ear, then she nibbled it.

"Dance? You want to dance with the kids?" Jake said as he finally moved his arms from his beautiful bride. Giving her one more kiss before sneakily walking towards the twins. "Are you sure you don't mean.." He ran over and picked up Clara, "tickle them?" He was holding the little girl in his arms as he started to tickle her. The child's laughter echoed through the party.

"Of course I meant tickling them that's what parents are suppose to do," she replied as she scooped up ginger-headed Morty. "Gosh little man you are getting heavy," she grunted as she tickled her son. "You look so happy," she smiled then winked at Jake. You look just like your dad.

"I'm the tickle monster and I'm going to get you," she almost sang.

There was nothing that made him happier than to be around his family. His wife, their children. It was all that he needed to have a good time. Even if he wanted to take a moment to be alone with his wife. He was sure that they would find moments to be alone as time went by. The children were still giggling in their arms. "I don't think they should a chance," he looked over to Kate.

Kate grinned at her husband and then began to tickle even faster. Peals of laughter, the kind that makes one smile came out-of-the six-year old. Jake gave her the look the one that melted her, the one that made her weak in the knees and knew what it meant. He was so sexy when he gave her that look. Looking up from tickling, she gave him her look that held so much promise.

The tickling slowed and he kissed Clara on the top of the head before setting her down. "Go find Grandpa Doctor," he said with a smile on his face. It was a little bit of a joke he had going and never dropped. "We should get ready to cut the cake," he said to his wife.

"No pressing cake into my face, mister. I don't want cake in my eyes," she really didn't want cake in her face. She put her little rug rat down, grabbed Jake's hand leading him to the cake table.

"No promises Mrs. Jensen. It is tradition after all," He said as he walked with her to the cake table. It was the last big thing they ha to do for their guest and they would be done. Just having to enjoy themselves and their family.

"Paybacks are heck," she teased. She grabbed the cake knife so Jake could put his hand around hers. They slid the knife forward and down to make a cut in the cake. Then they cut into the cake on the other side so it formed a triangle. Together they put it on a plate. Kate grabbed a piece of it and waited on Jake.

Jake couldn't hide the smile on his face. "Heck? Really?" he said as he cut the wedding cake with his wife. "You ready?" He was pretending to be ready to stuff the cake in her face. It was only for a second and then he carefully fed the first bite to her.

Kate was ready for the worst, but it never happened. Instead, he fed her the cake the way she wanted. She was grinning from ear-to-ear.

"Thanks," she whispered in his ear, "thanks for not making me part of the wedding cake. Just when I think I've figured you out, you surprise me. "I love you more than I thought possible," she admitted.

Before he could react, Kate had a piece of frosting on her finger. Quickly she placed it on the tip of his nose, then she licked it off. Her laughter was light and happy.

She was happy, deliriously so.

Someone took the knife from Kate and started cutting pieces for the guests. "I think that went quiet well, Mr. Jensen."
