He grinned when she ran to him once he was close enough and it made him hold her a little closer. They'd talked a lot over the years through texts and video calls but it was not the same as being close to her in person. He didn't know how much he had missed her being in his arms until just this moment. He almost didn't want let her go but he knew he had to so they could get going.
