The more Mitch spoke, the more Annie began to see just why Eliot had reached out to him. They had some similar traits, this guy and her father. He hadn't killed anyone in a long time, but it certainly wasn't something he'd never done. And he'd made a career for himself out hunting down bad people. It was a bit too much of a coincidence that Eliot just happened to reach out randomly to someone who was so similar to himself. Not even Eliot Spencer was that good at reading someone from one network post. No, she figured, he must have met some previous version of Mitch at some point.
"Don't worry," Annie answered him with a flirty wink. "I'll keep your secrets."
She pulled Eliot's truck into the back parking lot at Spencer's and shut off the engine. "Come on, let's get you inside and make sure you're not too badly injured."
