Sally couldn it help but tense up a bit when e repeated her line about the school, then when he added the part about being smart, her cheeks flushed a light pink and her body relaxed again. She tilted her head up to him and nodded, "I mean I'm no Einstein but I'd like to think I can be rather intelligent sometimes." She offered, Skids was never one to toot her own horn about anything and she did not believe in making people fill inferior it just was not her nature.
The elevator dinged as Dean made his comment and Sally stepped off and could not help but let out a light laugh at Dean's joke. She quickly covered her mouth as if she had said something horrible. The mutant could not remember the last time she actually genuinely laughed at something. Her cheeks burned as she shifted her gaze down a bit, a little embarrassed before replying.
"You'll do fine. I'm still learning stuff so if anything, you should take it easy on me." Skids was actually a good fighter but a lot of it was her actively learning to control her ability instea of hand-to-hand because no one could actually touch her. This was bound to be a nice change to that, now that Sally could actually touch people.
As they neared the gym, skids peered in to see if she could spot Logan but she did not right off the bat. He may have been there, or not. She just figured they could stretch or something while they waited. "I don't see him yet. We can loosen up before he arrives, if you'd like."
