Sally watched him as he spoke, smiling still was something lost to the young mutant woman. So much going on in her head and everything from back home was always on mind that smiling did not come easy. She nodded when he answered that he was in the same boat of boredom. Then he mentioned his brother. Her face softened a little bit, she knew that look, Dean must have lost his brother in a terrible way. "I feel the same way about my mom." She could not believe she blurted that out. Rarely did she mention her mother to people who she knew well, but to someone she was still getting to know.. Unheard of.
Thank goodness, Dean changed the subject. Her past was Nothing she wanted to talk about. Her head nodded to his question, seeing nothing wrong with him asking it. "I'm on the third floor, all by myself. Personally, I've never been fond of staying by myself. I'm more used to a lot of people. Thanks to the manor I went to school at." And the sewers she spent a bit of her life in, though that was something she would never bring up. "However, it is kinda nice some of time." She thought about how she practiced controlling her powers freely every hour of the day. "Though company would probably do me some good, at least that's what I keep being told."
The ding of the elevator drew Sally's attention from her friend as she stepped over the threshold and onto the elevator. "What about you? Do you like the peace and quiet you have in your one bedroom?" She hoped it was not something that would lead back to his brother.
