Getting to Know One Another Better
Who: Lucy and Izzie
Where: Stark Tower, Izzie's Room
When: Evening (Takes place during the last week of Hell Month that was October)

So, things were still kind of on the crazy side out there, but Lucy was perfectly fine sitting her but in this admittedly super sleek tower. Also, once she had found out that Chelle was here in the tower, too, she'd been extra happy. While Chelle was off likely STILL celebrating the Red Sox win, though, Lucy was hanging out in Izzie's room, currently braiding her own hair so that it would stay out of her way.

"Do you know if there's a music store nearby? I'm not sure how much longer I can go without a guitar, honestly," she admitted. Music was KIND of her everything and she couldn't go without it for too long.

"You know? I'm not sure." Izzie said with her usual happy smile. "Good news though... we have a pretty bad-ass supply service here that makes several trips to Earth a week and brings back whatever you need. If you need a guitar I can easily front you the money." Somehow, Izzie managed to look good even in the baggy sweatpants and t-shirt she currently wore. Hey, who knew if she was going to get stuck here for a while with all the craziness outside? May as well dress for comfort.

"Cool. And thanks for that. I'll find a way to pay you back." Lucy was going to have to find a way to make money soon. Maybe there was a coffee shop nearby she could work at that had a loose dress code? She DID have a lot of experience making coffee, after all! "I'll check around though whenever all this craziness dies down." It was during something like this at home (just zombies, but still close!) that she had gotten bitten and had to be turned into a dhampir, so, while she could handle it much easier now, she was still a little reluctant to go out too much.

"No problem. Just shoot a message to Wade Wilson, letting him know exactly what you want." Izzie explained, not really bothering with subtlety in eyeing Lucy up. "He's got a few people working for him now, so I'm pretty sure he should be able to get what you want. Just tell him I'm covering it. He's tight with my dad, so he knows I'm good for it."

Lucy nodded. "I'll make sure to send him a message." Why did the name Wade Wilson sound vaguely familiar? Probably the same reason that Tony Stark had. She'd listened to Chelle talk about comic books a million times, so maybe it was a character that was real here. That was still kind of blowing her mind, honestly. People in movies and TV were REAL here!

"So tell me about yourself!" Izzie laughed, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her chin on them. "Literally all I know about you is that you're sexy, you're cool, and you play guitar."

Lucy just laughed. "It's really more of a question about what do you want to know?" she asked. "For something random, I make amazing coffee drinks," she offered. She would have to introduce a Sugar Fairy Shooter to this place soon.

"Ok, that is pretty random..." Izzie admitted with a laugh. "Awesome, but random. What do you do back home? Like... for fun, for work...stuff like that. Oh! And are you dating anyone?" Subtle, Izzie. Real subtle.

"I was in a band, actually," Lucy explained. "Kind of makes me wish that my brother and sister would show up here, honestly." Then they could put it together. So far, though, she was on her own. "I also helped out at my sister's coffee shop, thus the massive amount of coffee knowledge, plus, you know, how much of it I drink." She smiled dreamily. "I married the BEST guy named Brady. He's actually my friend Chelle's brother. I had SUCH a huge crush on him when I was a kid, but I didn't think anything would really come of it."

Izzie had to laugh there, shaking her head. "Oh man.... I am having ZERO luck here." She smirked, rolling her eyes at her own misfortune. "Sexy, cool, in a band, totally like me in personality... AND MARRIED."

"Married with the option to play," Lucy explained, laying across Izzie's lap. Come on, like she HADN'T been thinking of Izzie that way since they had talked. She then reached up and poked Izzie on the nose.

"Hm. Well... bed-buddies is definitely better than nothing at all..." She admitted, taking a look at the leggy beauty sprawled across her lap. Damn. "Lemme guess... the 'play' part only includes girls."

"Friendly bed-buddies," Lucy added. She nodded at the next part. "Why? Do you have a male bed-buddy that you'd want to introduce otherwise?" she teased. What could she say? She did like to gossip a bit between friends, too!

The other blonde nibbled her bottom lip and nodded with a light chuckle. "My friend Pietro. He's... really the only guy I've fooled around with since coming here. Arrogant as he is hot, but actually a really nice guy once you get to know him." Without really thinking, she absently started stroking Lucy's hair with her fingertips. "I admit... I've kinda gone full Slut-Mode since I got here. I was always so... serious back home, I figured let loose for once while I'm here. Gotta say, it doesn't really make you feel any less lonely though. I kinda miss having someone you know if yours, y'know?"

"He does sound fun." Lucy did apparently get a kick out of a little bit of arrogance as well, if going by Brady. "And there's nothing wrong with having fun here, especially if you're feeling lonely otherwise." She was already missing Brady terribly. Chelle had gotten lucky and had her wives show up. Would she get lucky, too? "What about Pietro, though? Is he somebody that could just be 'yours'?" She didn't want her new friend feeling lonely.

"He's... very handsome, and fun. But I'm a firm believer in having that feeling in your gut when you meet someone you want to be that serious with." Izzie said, revealing a little about herself in the process. "It happened twice back home. Once with a girl, once with a guy."

Lucy nodded. Some people slowly fell in love, and some people knew it instantly. She was a more instant person herself, too, so she understood. "What happened with them?" she asked, looking up at Lizzie now.

"Well..." Izzie began, twirling strands of Lucy's hair absently around her fingers. "Ashlee was my first love. I fell for her the first day we met. We were both 13, and she was just the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. We dated for about a year and a half, but her family was really freaked about their kid dating a superhero, and I had just started with the Young Avengers. So they moved across the country, and that was that. Antonio was this little nerdy kid that worked at Stark Tower in I.T., that was just adorably charming. We dated from the time I was almost 16 until about four months before I came here."

Lucy reached over and threaded her fingers with Izzie's free hand. "I can't see why anyone would freak out about their daughter dating a superhero," she said. "I can only see that as amazing. It takes someone being incredibly selfless to be a real superhero." People tended to lose a lot when they were a superhero, from the movies that she had gotten to see with Chelle. "They both sound like they were great people."

"They were. Ashlee though... I know we were kids, but... I really think she mighta been "the one", you know? I feel like even now I compare everyone I meet to her." Izzie said, before shaking her head and clearing her throat. "Annnnd enough of that. I am sitting here with a gorgeous girl in my lap, and refuse to go all emo at the moment."

Lucy wanted to tell her that she would meet someone someday that would be her real 'one.' It sounded kind of placating, though. "I know we just met, but don't be afraid to talk to me if you do need to, OK?" she asked, giving Izzie's hand a squeeze. "Still, I bet I can provide plenty of distraction to keep you from going all emo," she teased.

"It's kinda weird but... I really DO feel like I can talk to you. Like there's something about you that makes me feel like we've been friends forever." Izzie said, giving a sweetly happy grin to the other girl. "Call me selfish... but I'm kinda hoping you're stuck here for a LONG time."

Lucy smiled back up at her. "Sometimes it's OK to be a little selfish," she told her. She had felt that instant connection with Izzie, too. She honestly wasn't entirely sure what to make of it. The closest she'd had to that with another girl was her friends Cassie and Stephanie from home, but her and Izzie were just SO much alike it was stunning.

"You think?" She asked Lucy, looking at her with the clear intent of a woman trying NOT to go in for a kiss. She didn't want to overwhelm this poor girl when she'd JUST gotten here so recently. "I'll have to keep that in mind."
