Friend Time
Who: Dawn and Rose
Where: Rose's Room
When: April 27th, Afternoon

Dawn was craving some time with her new buddy. She wanted to gossip and check up on her since she saw something about her mother getting sent back home, and she admittedly wanted SOMEONE to swoon a little over Eric with. She certainly couldn't do that with her sister! Knocking on Rose's door, she waited to see if the girl would answer.

"Hey! I was just thinkin' about you, love!" Rose said happily as she opened the door to greet her friend. Girl was dressed to KILL, wearing a short black skirt that showed off her amazing legs, and a white sleeveless top. She leaned in and hugged the other girl, grinning brightly. "You smell bloody wonderful... whatever perfume you're wearing is fantastic."

Dawn grinned, reaching over and hugging her back. "Someone's dressed for a night out on the town," she said playfully to her friend. "Do you have plans, or do you just enjoy putting people to shame."

"I was thinking of going out, dancing, just getting my mind off of everything." Rose told her, laughing as she looked Dawn up and down. "And PLEASE, honey. Putting YOU to shame is not something easily done." Gesturing the other girl to enter, Rose sat down and slid on her heels, giving a wry grin. "I'm still kinda mad Willow poofed away... I so badly wanted to try putting the moves on her..."

"And I'm sure that you would have made her blush herself half to death," Dawn joked as she walked in and sat down with her. "Right now, I'm really glad that you're still here, though. I'd feel so alone if you weren't."

"I feel the same way, love." Rose told her, briefly laying her head on the other girl's shoulder. "I'm... really lonely here. Plus I have a version of my father who's the same age as me running around, which, while it's nice to have SOME version of him here, is also a little odd, you know?"

"I can definitely see that as being awkward." Dawn might punch her father no matter the age he was, but that was her own personal issues. At least Rose got along with her father. "I get lonely here sometimes, too, so I know how you feel."

"SO. Tell me what's new and exciting in the life of my friend. Get my mind off of how utterly bored I've been." Rose told her, flashing that bright, mischievous smile at the girl.

Dawn giggled. "Well, I did get a personal your of Eric's new bar. We can go there, by the way. I made sure that it wasn't just 18 and over."

"Reeeeeally." Rose said with a laugh, giving Dawn a playful punch in the shoulder. "Is that ALL you got a tour of, dear?"

Dawn just laughed. "Puh-lease! He was actually a perfect gentleman. Sure, I would not object to there being more, because he is the freaking hotness, but that's something to possibly be worked on at a later date."

"That's my girl!" Rose giggled, high-fiving the other girl. "I keep trying to get the attention of that blonde girl... Quinn? Merlin's BEARD is she gorgeous... yet here I am, looking this good and yet with nothing to do..."

Yeah, Buffy would kill her if she knew about Eric, but she couldn't help herself! Especially around Norwegian goodness. That just wasn't fair. "I'm sure that you'll get her attention soon enough, though!"

"Well... Willow was my big target, but she vanished... and I admit to always having thought YOU were gorgeous, but alas, you had to go and be STRAIGHT..." She said, a mock-dramatic tone to her voice as she tried not to laugh.

"I know, terrible of me, right?" Dawn asked with a laugh. "You'll find someone perfect for you, though. Hell, someone perfect could show up at any time! Kinda makes this place perfect. The pool of potentials always stays fresh."

"Oh, I know... it's not as big a deal as I make it sound.... back home I was FAR more concerned with my schoolwork than with dating... I guess I just feel like, here? I have no schoolwork, none of my friends are here, and only a few alternate versions of my family have popped up. I focus on this stuff now so I don't focus on how absolutely TERRIFIED I am." Rose admitted with a sigh, crossing her arms under her breasts and taking a deep breath.

Dawn nodded. "I know what you mean. I honestly don't know how well I'd be taking things if I didn't at least have my sister here with me," she admitted. "Back home, we had literally just seen our hometown sink into the ground because of the Hellmouth. This place provides one big nice distraction from that."

"Blimey... I never stopped to think about that... how all the things I watched you all go through... that was your LIFE, not just something I watched..." Rose said in a hushed tone, as that just kind of hit her now: all these people here, that everyone made a big deal over... they were people too, and had all gone through hardships.

"Yeah, it's still a little weird to realize that people kind of grew up watching my life," Dawn said with a small smile. Of course, she realized that she had memories that they likely didn't know about, due to the while 'monk spell' and such.

"What do you miss most about your world?" Rose asked her, giving a sad smile. "I think I miss school and quidditch the most. I'd make sure I had all my schoolwork done, then head over to watch practice... it centered me in a way."

“Honestly? What I miss the most is having my mom around. She’d already passed away when I came here, but that’s it,” Dawn admitted. “I miss just the regular run of the mill monster mucking up Sunnydale, and not some big, huge, world ending evil hanging about there, either.” Dawn then shrugged. “The road was kind of open to us when I left.”

"I miss my mom too." Rose told her, squeezing her hand comfortingly. "I feel like... I'm never going to get back and see her again. Might seem lame, but my parents have always been my two best friends. Just not having them around to talk to is so... weird and uncomfortable."

“Trust me, it’s not lame. I loved spending time with my mom when she was alive,” Dawn told her. “You’ll get back to see her at some point, though. I’m not sure how or when, but it’ll happen.” Sadly, Dawn didn’t even have a grave to visit, anymore, but she had dealt with a lot of those issues while here.

"I wish there was a way I could have you visit my world... you'd love quidditch, I know it. My aunt Ginny and uncle Harry were both excellent players when they were younger." Rose told her, just enjoying this small moment of reminiscing about home.

“Who knows? With this place, there might actually be a way for us to visit each others worlds, or parts of the worlds might end up here instead,” Dawn offered. “Or there might just at least be a way to play Quidditch! I know I’d love flying around on a broom.” Even though Dawn was mostly likely to just fall off said broom and die a horrible death.

"I'm.... actually wondering if maybe you COULD..." Rose said, briefly fascinated by that thought. "I mean, while it's of another reality, you ARE technically made of magic..."

It was something that Dawn had thought about before, doing magic. However, she had seen what magic had done to Willow, and it had initially scared her off. However, now she was in a different dimension, so the rules were different, weren’t there? “Do you think you could teach me something?” she asked.

"I could try..." Rose said with a pensive look, squinting a little as she thought about it. "Clearly, we're from two completely different fragments of reality, and what is "real" in mine is generally fictional in yours. Now, what I fear is that because of this, that the mystical properties of what makes magic work are going to be two completely different, non-interchangable things." She blushed then (how cute!), and cleared her throat. "Sorry. Went into Rosiepedia mode there. Basically, what I was saying is that magic in my world and your world are more than likely incompatible. But I'm more than willing to try!"

"Well, if it doesn't work, then it doesn't work," Dawn said with a shrug. "And it's cool! I've done encyclopedia mode more than a few times myself," she explained. "If nothing else, I can explain a bit of what I know about magic in my world. Maybe we could figure out a way to make them more compatible." The both of them were smart. She was sure they could figure something out!

Rose couldn't help but smile when Dawn got so animated about something. She chuckled, shaking her head. "Dawnie... I promise you: one day, I am gonna get you curious enough to have it off with me one time..."
