WW: Wonderland Special What: Witch Weekly article Date: Friday, October 7th
The party people of the Wizarding World have a new place to be: Wonderland. This fantastic fantasy bar opened Friday in an extravaganza of rockstars, quidditch celebrities, and indulgence. The ingenious spellwork of young entrepreneur Lisa Turpin created truly impressive decorations and protections, while the funds to do so and refreshments to accent the atmosphere came from the notorious Draco Malfoy.
Even amidst all of the glitz, glamour, and creativity of this shiny new venue, the true sights of the evening came from the who’s who of the Wizarding World showing up and letting loose.
Most of the Weird Sisters were in attendance. Lead singer Myron Wagtail was showing off more than that soulful mouth of his, including stripping off his shirt to comply with Wonderland’s wizarding-only dress code. Multiple sources reported seeing him paying a whole lot of attention to an unknown woman a few years older than his usual entourage, and they didn’t even bother to get a room before witnesses saw him put his hand up her dress. Has the Weird Sisters frontman developed more seasoned taste and decided to ditch even a façade of discretion?
Even more surprising was the presence of cellist Merton Graves, dressed head to toe in women’s clothing. Stay tuned for the special, no-holds-barred exposé about what really happened when Merton Graves went missing next week for Witch Weekly's exclusive and shocking insight into why this deviant musician is going to extremes.
Lead guitarist Kirley Duke was surrounded by numerous witches through the night, but was also spotted in deep conversation with the CEO of Jetstream’s security division, Terence Higgs. Are the Weird Sisters facing more security threats? Was Merton Graves' kidnapping part of a greater attack against the Wizarding World's favourite rock band? Witch Weekly certainly hopes not!
Speaking of Jetstream, James Turpin, the founding CEO of Jetstream’s talent representation division and older brother of the club’s owner Lisa Turpin, shocked Witch Weekly by getting heatedly romantic with another man. It made us here at Witch Weekly wonder if those rumours a few years ago about James Turpin and quidditch superstar Barry Ryan were true after all.
Barry Ryan was at Wonderland that night as well, but would not provide Witch Weekly with a comment on the matter. Still, it didn't seem to get in the way of his fun. Witch Weekly can attest to how well that man can move – he sure looked fit on the dance floor!
Regardless, the excess of the evening sure made one thing clear: People will always want to party.
