"Why is that? Aren't fireplaces indoors?" she asked. "Are you that sensitive to light that even being indoors will kill you?" She grinned. "And I'm sure you have weaknesses. Stake through the heart, decapitation and setting on fire. Although that pretty much kills everything. Although I don't get the fixation with the silver bullet for werewolves. I'm pretty sure decapitation would kill them just as well. And never mid me, that's Muggle lore."
Lorelai snorted. "You think that my reaction was because you're a vampire? If anything, it has to do with watching too many men who were worried and cared, but then vengeance and violence clouded their judgement once the danger had passed. They might not have magic, or suck blood, but they were just as lethal. I've seen too many good men end up in a jail for beating a young man to a bloody pulp after their daughters disappeared. You'll be amazed to the lengths pious men will go to protect their daughters' honour, whether they want their honour protected or not."
She got up and fixed the hem of her t shirt. She was not happy at the moment, and however fascinating vampires could be, she would not let one insult her and question her intelligence. "I make assumptions based on life experience based on Muggles and what you said. I also speak my mind while being willing to listen to other points of view. You're downright insulting. In my own house. Well, this stupid Muggle doesn't enjoy that so it's time that you leave, because the last man who questioned my intelligence is currently dead and I'm not about to let anyone else do it."
