Despite the teasing, Parvati somehow hadn't quite expected Cho to lean in and kiss her, and her bravado faltered for a moment at the thrilling feeling of those delicate, soft lips brushing the sensitive skin of her neck. A nervous giggle bubbled up in Parvati, and she felt her cheeks flush hotly as her stomach fluttered with sudden nerves.
Cho was beautiful, of course, and Vati had appreciated that on a number of occasions throughout their friendship. Vati also appreciated Cho's sharp tongue and bold confidence, as those things didn't always come naturally to Parvati even though she'd made a lot of progress towards not caring what others thought of her. She looked up to Cho, in many ways, and Vati felt a sudden pang of insecurity.
For all that the sharp sparkle of sensation from Cho's lips had made it very clear that, at least for Parvati, interest would definitely not be a problem, Parvati couldn't help but worry that she might be rubbish when it came to girls. Or, conversely, that things might get messy. After all, they'd just agreed that Cho was going to move in.
"That sounds like an excellent plan," Parvati said, taking a hearty swig of her whiskey before smiling only a little uncertainly at her friend. Vati found herself thinking back to that first night with Michael and Terry for inspiration here, and came up with something to quell the nerves. "But one thing first. Can we just... officially agree that if we do this, it won't change anything between you and I? No complications allowed. Just a bit of fun between friends."
