Where: Lisa & Draco's

"...my rules, and I've had enough of your willful disobedience," her father finished, setting down his fork with a clank. His face was blank as he stared across the table at her, calm and serious.
Hannah stared back, confused by the turn their conversation had taken. She had no idea what he meant by willful disobedience. She was an adult, and she made her own decisions, but she'd always tried to take his opinion into considering. Of course, he'd never approved of Healing, of living with Lisa and Jamie, of...anything, really, but she hadn't thought it would be dating someone that would bring them to this point.
Her father was still going on, and she tried to focus on what he was saying. "...a half-blood with no decent career prospects, and you're whoring yourself out to him. You're ruined for any proper match I might have made..."
There was a rushing in her ears, and she felt her stomach lurch. She and Lee hadn't even had sex yet, and she was a whore for dating him, for staying with him one night when she hadn't wanted to leave for an empty house. She took a steadying breath, and looked at her father with new eyes. All the things her little brother had said over the last two years, pointed little digs she'd put aside as childish rebellion, and realized that he'd seen what she couldn't. Still, he was her father and she had to try to get through to him.
"Lee is a wonderful man, and he's doing something he's passionate about, the way I am about Healing," she said, trying to keep her voice steady, but he launched into his familiar rant about her career, about how she wasn't smart enough to get through the training, how she'd get bored before it was over, all things she'd heard before but laughed off as him being old-fashioned, believing he'd come around and understand she was doing what she loved. He wasn't going to come around.
He was in mid-stream when she pushed away from the table and stood, smoothing out the semi-formal robe she'd put on for dinner. Her father had always insisted that they dress for dinner, even when it was just the two of them. "I'm sorry you feel this way, Daddy, but I'm not going to stop seeing Lee, or give up becoming a Healer. Now, I've lost my appetite and I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning." She turned to leave the dining room.
"If you continue to see that boy, you'll leave this house," her father said, making her come to a stop. She turned to look at him, not able to believe that he was giving her an ultimatum.
Tears burned her eyes, but she couldn't let them fall now. "I love you, but I'm not a child. I can make my own decisions," she said, but this time her voice wasn't quite as strong. She couldn't let herself back down, not when giving in would mean giving up Lee, giving up Healing, giving up being independent. "Good night, Daddy."
Blindly, she walked out of the room, through the halls, and outside to the Apparition point. She still wasn't crying, but it was difficult to breathe and it was through a miracle that she managed to get to Lisa and Draco's new cottage without Splinching herself. When Lisa answered the door, she managed to gasp out, "I think my father just disowned me," before bursting into tears.
