"No, I don't believe it was," he said, grinning easily. He was enjoying tea with Pansy Weasley, though it still made him angry to think of all that Pureblood wasted on a blood traitor family, but at least the Weasleys were Sacred 28 when it came right down to it. "Yes, I agree. Chaos is always temporary, or should be. You're a very wise young woman."
His face showed no outward reaction to her comments, he just sipped his tea and studied her. She was young, yes, but not as sheltered as he'd thought. He supposed she might have some leverage, otherwise she wouldn't be here, but he knew he'd covered his tracks and would come out the other side of whatever she thought she had with no black marks against him. However, he wasn't ready to take that step yet, he had plans in motion that required time and subtlety, using Lestrange as a smokescreen, and her 'proof' could derail them.
So, he just smiled, and sipped his tea. "I would, of course, hate to anything unpleasant happen to you, or your family. You're a very bright young woman, and your husband has a bright future head of him as well." He set his tea down, and studied her again. "Of course, if the Wizengamot is something you desire, I would be happy to support your climb. I believe your particular view of the world would be refreshing, when the day comes."
