Name. George Weasley Nicknames. Georgie Porgie, Fred Age. 21 Birthdate. April 1st, 1978 Blood status. Pure Sexual orientation. Heterosexual Relationship status. Engaged to Verity Scott Wand. 9", bendy, willow, unicorn hair Patronus. Honey Badger Residence. high working class |
Height. 5" 8' Build. Stocky Hair. Red Eyes. Blue, Scars. George is missing his right ear, and there is nasty red acar tissue where it should be. He wears a very realistic fake one in its place, which also happens to be the latest model of extendible ears. He has a lot of fun pulling it off and stretching it out to scare kids. It's also very handy for eavesdropping. Dress. When he's not wearing his magenta WWW clothes George tends to dress muggle casual. He is also quite fond of muggle suits, and wears them whenever he wants to look snazzy. PB. Seth Green. |
Mother. Molly Weasley Father. Arthur Weasley Brother. Bill Weasley Brother. Charlie Weasley Brother. Percy Weasley Brother. Fred Weasley(deceased) Brother. Ron Weasley Sister. Ginny Weasley Other family. Fleur Weasley, Pretty much anyone with pure blood. George is incredibly close with his family. He loves them all dearly, and would do anything for any one of them. Things have been a little more strained lately though, though it's mostly from George's end. He can't stand the way his mother always tears up when she sees him, or the way his father occasionally has to excuse himself from the room. The loss of Fred is like a phantom limb for George, and being around his parents just makes it ache ten times as much. He still loves them, but he doesn't go over for dinner as often as he once would have. |
School Years. 1989-1996 House. Gryffindor Quidditch. Beater, 1990-1996 |
Job title. Owner, Weasleys Wizard Wheezes Since. 1997 George is the heart and soul of the shop. He is an extremely fair man to work for, pays his employees well, and is generally well liked. He takes time to really engage with the customers, and 90% of the products they sell are his inventions. He is nearly always there, even though he doesn't really work regular shifts there anymore. Verity manages the shop on a day to day level, and they have enough staff that George would never really need to go in if he didn't want to. Nevertheless, it would be a strange day to not see George in his magenta robes at least once. When he's not pulling pranks on the kids or chatting with the regulars, he can be found in the backroom/laboratory, playing with new ideas for crazy products. |
5 words that describe your character. Funny, Charming, Creative, Halved, Coping Fred had always been the leader, when it came to Fred and George. Even his name had always come first. George was the more empathetic of the two, and had a wry, self-deprecating sense of humor that went along with his love of practical jokes. He was also often the voice of reason, reigning in some of Fred's more illegal tendencies. George was the more creative of the twins, coming up with most of their products, though it was Fred who added the little extra touches that made the ideas truly great. It was hard, now, trying to figure out who he actually was without Fred at his side. He's still kind, and funny, and creative. But he's also a follower without anyone to follow, an inventor without anyone to refine his ideas, a twin without his other half. He doesn't laugh as much as he used to, and even when he smiles there's a certain weariness in his eyes that was never there before. He still occasionally glances to his right as if expecting someone to be standing there, or starts speaking to someone who will never answer him again. Likes. Jokes, Quidditch, Friends, Steak and Kidney Pie, His Shop, Weasley Jumpers Dislikes. Slytherins, Wet Socks, Sitting Still, Liver, Being Bored, Chamomile. |
Secrets. George planned to kill himself after his brothers death. He couldn't face life without Fred, and knew that this was his only option. He had gone as far as buying the poison he needed, when he walked in on his mother crying again. He couldn't do that to her, couldn't let her down so soon after Fred. But he never got rid of the poison, and every once in a long while, when things get very hard, he thinks about it again. |
Childhood George was born as part of a set. A matched pair, if you will. He came two hours after his brother, and that was the longest they were ever apart for the next twenty years. They wasted no time in terrorizing their parents and older siblings, and by the time they could crawl it was routine to see Molly Weasley running shrieking through the house, attempting to catch, stop, or put out the fires around Fred and George. They were very amiable children, always smiling and laughing, and made friends with the local children very easily. But their best friends were always each other, and the absolute worst punishment their mother ever gave them was making them sit in private time outs. They couldn't stand being apart, and even potty trained together on matching orange potty chairs. Hogwarts Fred and George had been planning their Hogwarts exploits since the day Bill went off to school. They had constantly pestered him for stories of the castle and it's innumerable secrets, and spent countless hours plotting every single way they were going to make the school their own. So when the boys got their letters it was with an air of sadistic glee. Mrs. Weasley was just glad that for once it wasn't going to be her house that was destroyed. The twins got to school and set up shop straight away. They were already adept at sneaking around, and on the first night at school they began exploring. They found little on their first trip out, but the possibilities were endless. Not to mention the fact that being able to do magic all the time quadrupled their pranking potential. In fact, they tried out the Color Change Charm they had found in their textbooks on Professor Flitwick in the very first lesson, turning the tiny professors hair lurid pink and lime green. Luckily for them Flitwick thought it was both amusing and a good bit of charms work, so they only got one nights detention. Their dorm mate Lee Jordan had been so impressed by this that they became fast friends, and he was often included in their explorations and prank planning from then one. The game really changed in their sixth month, when he and George were serving yet another detention with Filch. He had been distracted by Peeves (who had a bit of a soft spot for the twins, and could always be counted on to make a ruckus when they were stuck in detention) and the boys used the time to charm open Filch's drawers. They always found something good in them, and Fred had pulled out a nose biting tea cup when George found the musty old bit of parchment. When they finally made it back to the common room the boys began pouring over it with Lee. They knew it had to be something important, or it wouldn't have been in the 'banned objects' cupboard. They spent hours trying every combo of every spell they knew, as limited as they were. It wasn't until Fred began to swear (quite creatively) at the thing that it began to respond. "Not bad, for a firstie. But those aren't the right words, you know.' So they began trying every combination of swears they knew, and those were not limited. "A for effort! But you're way off!" "Yeah, I'd gonas far as to say you were up to no good." So with a ton of snarky help from the disembodied voices, they finally got it to work. The Marauders Map. And everything changed. Overnight they knew every nook and cranny of the castle, and the whereabouts of every student, professor, and nosy caretaker. The school was their oyseter, and the teachers despaired. In second year the made it onto the Quidditch team as two of the fiercest beaters you would ever meet, and the number of prabjs went down considerably. But the few they did pull off were exponentially grander to make up for lost time. So the years went by. Soon their brother Ron joined them at school with his friend Harry Potter, and things started to get weird. But nothing drastically changed for them. As time went on though they began to really consider what they wanted to do with their lives. Obviously they were not meant to be Ministry types. George had always loved tinkering with magic to get the funniest results, but it was Fred who figured out they could make a living doing that. So the idea for Weasley's Wizard Wheazes was born. The boys had always spent a lot of time working on their pranking aids, but now they were taking it to the next level. They had the idea of getting their start up capital by betting on the Quidditch World Cup, and it paid off big time. Their odds had been so good that when they got the pay off they couldn't believe their eyes. This was it, everything they needed tonrent premesis in Diagon Alley and really kick their inventions into gear! But the next morning the gold was gone, and their dreams dashed. They spent the rest of the year trying to get Bagman to cough up. It wasn't easy. George stopped Fred from straight up blackmailing the man, but he had to admit that after months of trying and failing it was a tempting idea. When Bagman fled the country they thought it was all over, but then Harry gave them his Triwizard winnings. It was horrible, what had happened to Diggory, and to Harry, but that money meant they could finally begin work on their shop. Their final year at Hogwarts was almost completely devoted to perfecting their brand. They had almost not gone back to school at all, but Quidditch was worth it and besides, they had a feeling their Mum would have killed them. Plus they had a built in group of testers at the school. But they hadn't counted on Umbridge coming in and mucking everything up. She was absolutely horrible, and the jumped at the chance to join Dumbledores Army and really stick it to her. When they were kicked off the Quidditch team though they began to think quite seriously about leaving the school. There wasn't really anything left for them here, and the shop was nearly all ready to go. Harry needing a diversion was just the juml start they needed, and after causing as much trouble as possible they flew away from the school with no regrets. After Hogwarts The next few months were filled with renovating their premesis and stocking up for their grand opening. They hired Verity as well as a few others girls to help run the place, and put the finishing touches on all their products. From the day they opened the shop was a huge success. They were always busy, and the Ministry kept placing huge orders for protective gear, so they branched out into a whole new area of defensive objects. It was sheer bliss. George had never felt so creatively fulfilled in his life. They were co-owners, but Fred did most of the managing and people stuff, while George spent most of his time in the back, creating new products they couldn't have been happier. They joined the Order as soon as they cane of age, and George and Fred both helped Harry escape from Private Drive, disguising themselves as two of the seven Harry's. During the fight George was hit by Snape Secumsmpra curse and lost an ear. He felt the loss, but mostly he was just grateful it hadn't been worse. He had never really cared much about his appearance, and this was a good excuse to start working on realistic extendible ears. The attack at Bill and Fleurs wedding was a turning point for the twins. They had always known dark times were coming, but now they were right on the doorstep. Fref and George absolutely refused to close WWW, no matter what happened, but they offered full pay to any of their employees who wanted to flee. They also helped their friend Lee with his radio broadcast, Potter watch as well as doing any missions the Order required of them. It was all dangerous, but also extremely exciting. Then came the battle of Hogwarts. Fred's death was like the end of the world. George was in complete, total shock. A world where he lived and Fred didn't was... Inconceivable. He sat, numb, beside his brothers body and felt everything falling apart around him. He had never, ever been just George before. They had been Fred and George their whole life, to the point where George thought we long before he ever thought me. Without Fred, without Fred... There was nothing without Fred. When the battle was over everyone began picking up the pieces, but George couldn't. He left the shop closed, and he couldn't bear to go back to the flat he had shared there with Fred. His childhood bedroom was no better. He convinced Ron to trade with him, and spent most of his time holed up with the family ghoul. The creature had loved living in Rons room, and no one had the heart to kick him out. George hadn't showered in six days when Verity came to see him. She had always been a good friend to them, and an excellent employee. She seemed genuinely crushed about Fred, but George couldn't bring himself to talk about it. Just seeing her had done him good, though, and by that afternoon she had convinced him to open up the shop again. He walked back in to WWW with a sense of dread. The place he had been happiest was now a horrible reminded of everything he'd lost. Fred was the one who knew how to set prices and make schedules and order shipments. George had never done any of that, and it all seemed so utterly overwhelming. Once again it was Verity to the rescue. She stepped in as manager, and George knew he would have never figured any of it out without her. Soon the shop was flourishing again, and George did his best to keep smiling for everyone. He spent a lot more time in the backroom though. He'd put a small bed in there, and basically just lived at the shop. It was easier than facing his mother every day. So a year went by, and while the pain never got any better George did at least learn how to cope with it a bit. He spent more time with the customers, and began creating new products again. When 54 Diagon Alley opened up he let Verity talk him into renting a flat there. He could have afforded a better one, but he took the studio. He didn't need enough room for two people anymore. |
First Person Journal Entry. Alrigt everyone, important question time! Who would win in a fight, an acromabtula or the giant squid! I expect to see well thought out answers! Verity Did we ever get that order of Doxy venom? Third Person Narrative. George collapsed on his bed, completely drained. It had been one of the bad days. Two boys had come into the shop with their mother, two little blonde boys as alike as Apple pips. George had watched them talking and laughing together, finishing each other sentences and barely even needing to speak to communicate. It hurt. It hurt so much George didn't think he could bare it. He had made some excuse to Verity, something about a Cauldron bubbling over in the back, and practically ran from the room. Everyone always said that things would get better. That time would make the ache in his chest lesson, that he would learn to deal with things on his own. But it had been a year and he still felt like he would die if someone even mentioned Fred's name. How was he supposed to do this? How was he supposed to do anything, now that he was so alone? |
