Sayuri had come to think of the library as a better home than her actual dorm room. It was quiet and calm, and so far, in the course of her stay at Freedem, the library had remained fairly safe. It hadn't become haunted with ghosts, hadn't turned into some crazy labyrinth through magic, and hadn't become mysteriously infested with otherworld monsters. It was, as far as she was concerned, her personal sanctuary. Of course it was almost always crowded, being a university library, but the low murmurs of the other students had become comforting in a way. Here, it was so normal and boring, and it was so easy for Sayuri to pretend that this was her life. She'd taken to spending most of her free time here when Touya was busy, and the librarians had gotten used to her helping them with reshelving the books.
It was what she was doing when she ran into Ty. There had been a stack left on one of the carts left unattended near her table, and Sayuri had only managed to hold out for so long before she decided to put them away herself. She'd almost dropped the stack when she recognized the other woman, poring over a Tolkien novel. "...Ty?" Sayuri asked curiously, even as she continued to shelve books.
