Sinful Affinity (12:39:26 AM): Today was one of her longer days but as usual the afternoon remained clear. Math still wasn't the same without Prof. Jamenson but classes had to go on. The substitute they hired seemed nice enough and numbers were familiar territory. After class the Empath had decided to work off some calories before lunch with Locke, although she doubted too much physical strain would be required. Having reserved a training room, she shuffled her way to the door and ran through the proper security measures. Navigating the facilities continued to be a learning experience for Emma, stepping into the room while prepping her mind for what was to come.
MetallicSeraph (1:09:26 AM):The scene rolled out before steel covered eyes. The objective had been set and the goal was clear yet she'd lost track of the guy she'd been tailing. He got spooked and bolted. Unfortunately he was the only one who knew when the bomb was going off on the bridge that the train ran into Venice. The historic setting with gondolas whiskfully floating down the river couldn't be enjoyed at this moment even though Ty would have loved to spend time admiring them. Leaping from the top of one building to the roof of the other she hit the landing hard and tumbled over herself, rolling for a few feet before being able to stop and scramble to her feet. Glancing to one side then the other the guy was to her right, only twenty yards in front of her. Bolting after him feet pounded the roof below them, leaving dents. The guy leapt off the roof, aiming for another and Ty launched herself, metal and all, after him. He landed on the next roof a few feet in front of her and she slammed into the ground seconds after, pounding the roof with a single fist as she came down hard on her knees shook the building, causing the guy in front of her to fumble what he had been pulling out of his jacket and fall to the ground, the device skittering out over the roof in front of him. He scrambled after it and she launched after him, grabbing a hold of an ankle just as his fist slammed the button of the device and her eyes went wide. The man laughed and cursed her in Italian, lifting the device and shaking it in her face.
Grabbing his hand with the device in it, Ty crushed the device inside of his hand. The man cried out and the RA lifted him off the ground by the collar of his shirt, now his eyes widened and words slipped out, a tone of pleading as she dragged him across the roof top. Narrowing eyes at him she carried him by the collar of his shirt over to where an old antenna stood. Ripping the antenna out of the roof the guy was tossed on the ground for a second before the metal was wrapped around his body in a crude sort of restraint. Grabbing the antenna she hoisted the guy up, yelling at him in Italian before he gave the answer she needed and still holding onto him she was on the move again, heading towards the bridge the train came in on. Following the man’s instructions she was quickly able to find where the bomb had been planted in a matter of minutes and the bomb continued to tick down. The man yelled at Ty as she looked over the display, a glare was shot back at him before a simple sentence was given and the man fell silent before muttering a sentence lowly.
The titan's jaw shifted before grabbing the bomb and ripping it away from the constraints that were keeping it in place. The man yelled again, seeming to beg before Ty picked him up once again, taking a running start before leaping to the top of a building and sprinting as fast as her legs could carry her from each roof top to the other. Pulling the bomb up to look at the timer Ty swore, dropping the man so that he skidded across a roof before twirling around in order to build up some speed before hugging the bomb to her chest and diving into the river depths below. A huge rise of water splashed up from the depths, sloshing water up against many of the buildings and even to some roofs. The water continued to rock or a moment jarring boats before calming. After a few moments Ty emerged, soaked and pulling herself from the depths by sinking fingers into the walls of buildings to climb up them. Reaching the roof of the building she laid there a moment, chest heaving when an explosion was heard off in the distance. "Vaffanculo." With a groan she pushed herself to her feet, glaring at the man who remained wrapped in metal before grabbing him again and sprinting across roof tops to finally land, with a stumble, in the center of a street where a small gang of rival mutants had assembled. The statue which had been in the middle of the fountain had been destroyed and Ty glared across the circular area at the others who were here to cause trouble. "This ends here."
Sinful Affinity (1:26:28 AM): Nothing could have prepared her for the scene blue eyes fell upon once past the door. She was transported to a beautiful place but there wouldn't be time to soak it in as she fidgeted next to the metal giant that she guessed landed shortly before her arrival. Stepping back, she swallowed hard, "uh oh."
MetallicSeraph (1:39:27 AM):The man wrapped in the antenna yelled, seeming commanded of the other forces opposite of the fountain facing Ty and silver eyes remained glued on them until the noise of another was heard behind her. That... wasn't part of the simulation... was it? Confusion crossed her features as she looked over her shoulder to see someone else seemed to have wondered into the simulation. However, that didn't matter to the guys on the other side of that fountain and a laser blast hit Ty square knocking her back into the wall as another zipped over, grabbing a hold of the man wrapped in the metal antenna and beginning to pull him back over to the other side.
Sinful Affinity (1:46:00 AM): Holy whoa that guy was fast! The Empath couldn't even see him move until he'd stopped and a moment of panic flared inside of her. Using everything she'd learned in focus class the Telepath squinted her eyes, shouting into his mind, 'HEY, PLAY FAIR'
MetallicSeraph (1:50:30 AM): The guy jerked at the yell and grumbling could be heard from inside the building that Ty had been smashed through which was shortly followed by a yell of "Disengage simulation!" Everything faded away into the blank metallic walls of the normal training area and Ty stood there for a moment. Sighing she remained quiet before glancing around the training room. It was like no damage had ever been done, nothing had exploded, no antenna's had been broken, and no other people where there beside Ty and Emma. Finally looking back at Emma there was a clear frown. "You should check the programs running and the log time outside before stepping in."
Sinful Affinity (1:59:37 AM): Well, as a plus her effort worked but a sinking feeling arose in her stomach as everything surrounding them melted away. Calming her pulse, she stumbled over her words, "I-I'm sorry. A-Are you ok?" Concern was obvious in the Empath's voice, second only to the apologetic tone.
MetallicSeraph (2:02:44 AM): The frown faded into her normal stoic look as silver eyes remained on the first year for a moment longer. It really shouldn't have been a surprise that it was a first year that would have made such a stupid mistake. "Fine." Eyes remained emotionlessly on the other even thought annoyance was firmly rooted in her mind. "You could have gotten hurt. That was a high level simulation."
Sinful Affinity (2:12:00 AM): Emma couldn't hold the annoyance against Ty, she really should have paid closer attention before wandering on in there. She would certainly be more careful in the future but the idea of being hurt hadn't honestly crossed her mind. "It-it can do th-that?" she whispered, eyes widening with realization of how much danger she'd put them both in.
MetallicSeraph (2:14:00 AM): A deep sigh was released. "On the setting I run it." Shoulders rolled for a moment before eyes glanced over to one of the walls, almost checking to see if she'd dented it. As many times as she ran the simulations and as much as she logically knew that no damage was really happened, it never failed to surprise her that everything she'd just gone through, the entire run, was fake.
Sinful Affinity (2:22:36 AM):"Wow," was her only verbal response, taking a moment to let the information process. So that's what upperclassman did? Talk about intimidating. After a deep breath her soft voice surfaced again, "I-I'll be m-more careful next t-time."
MetallicSeraph (4:20:10 PM): Eyes turned back towards the fresh meat once again, watching as the seriousness of the situation sank in. "There's a reason why there's so much paperwork to be accepted." The numerous forms came to mind, the many times people had to sign. How many of the kids actually read those contracts Ty would bet you could count on one hand.
Sinful Affinity (4:27:26 PM): Frowning, the Empath nodded. She'd carefully looked over everything that had been signed but the reality of it all was only now evident. Reaching up, she rubbed the back of her neck with one hand and shuffled her feet, "a-again, my apologies. I-I understand th-the dangers and will be certain to-to be more aware of th-the facilities use be-before wandering in like th-that. Um. . .m-maybe I could make it up to-to you? I-I know th-that must sound weird b-but I did kinda ruin your training."
MetallicSeraph (4:30:01 PM):The girl talked more and more and Ty checked her watch. Her own time with the war room had been over for a few minutes now. Her simulation had run over and she frowned at the watch. A hand waved in the air dismissively. "It's fine. My time's up." Shrugging she glanced around the room again. "Just be more careful."
Sinful Affinity (4:36:47 PM):"I-I will," she sighed, eyes crawling over the ground before moving up to examine the other woman's features. Her heart jumped, swallowing down the reaction to speak again, "th-thanks, y'know for being so-so nice about it. I-I owe you one. B-But I-I don't want to-to keep you any longer th-than I already have." Pondering for a moment, she whispered, "could I-I um, buy you a drink s-some time." Sinful Affinity (4:36:56 PM):crawling*
MetallicSeraph (5:11:51 PM):A nod was given to the first response Emma gave. Silver eyes shifted closed for a moment as she thought about letting the metal fade away but then changed her mind. It was hard to tell how things worked sometimes. The comment of owing caused eyes to open and she shook her head no. "You don't owe me." Pausing for a second Ty's head turned as thoughts began to float off to what needed to be done now. Taking a couple steps towards the control panel Ty's mind was set on dismissing her settings from the machine when some form of faint mumbling originated from over where the other woman had been. "Huh?" Pausing she looked back at Emma. "Did you say something?"
Sinful Affinity (5:15:56 PM):Smiling at the other woman, she cleared her throat so that she'd be heard this time, "y-yes. If-If it wouldn't be too strange, could I-I buy you a drink s-sometime?" It wasn't the most ideal situation to ask such a question but she wanted an opportunity to redeem herself at least. The coffee offer hadn't been responded to so maybe something stronger would work?
MetallicSeraph (5:57:02 PM):The sentence was heard but it took a second for what she was asking to really sink in. Another offer. This was uncomfortable. Slipping over to the control panel she began to punch the proper codes in. "Uhh.." That'd buy her a few seconds, eyes gazing over the control panel she read the feedback of her performance. "I'll think about it." The words were a bit lower than normal as she was clearly distracted by the feedback on the monitor before looking over to Emma with a short nod. "Gotta get going." A wave was given. "Later." And with that she headed for the door.
Sinful Affinity (6:03:37 PM):"Well," the smile remained, watching the shorter woman calmly. "You know wh-where to find me. Have a-a nice day." Once Ty had slipped out the Empath sighed, making her way to the panel to set up her own simulation and get started. Hopefully Ty would take her up on the offer and if not she'd try yet again. Perhaps the other mutant simply didn't want to hang out? Setting down her bag, she focused on the task at hand. She could analyze things further later.
