Kaidan took his jacket off first and placed it over the back of his chair and sat down, putting his briefcase down beside him on the floor. "Yeah, I was a student on your Mum's" he said, trying his best to find a good way of saying what he had on his mind. "I'm thirty nine" he said with a short laugh, shaking his head. "Bloody hell, I'm not gettin' any younger" he said, taking a packet of cigarettes out his pocket.
He took one out and offered the pack to Hannah, just incase she might want one.
"Look, there's no easy way to say this" he said, lighting the cigarette. "So I'm going to ask you a few questions. Did your Mum ever talk to you about your Dad? Or... your Gran. Did she ever mention anything?" he asked.
