1. Not true, even his announcement yesterday talked about repealing it just yesterday. He spoke of how it's discriminatory and that he's against it. 2. Don't care about them. 3. So you're fine with separate but equal, I'm not and shouldn't have to be. 4. 5. That's not true, they do NOT have all the same rights, especially federally and not in other states when they visit. A civil union isn't even close to having all the same protections and benefits. 6. This is about a fundamental right, not absolute power. 7. You know nothing about me, so don't presume. This issue is a Constitutional issue not a state issue. Does it help the movement that states are passing laws "allowing" gay marriage. Of course, but here's the thing, until it's recognized federally, it's still not equal and this country was founded on a basis of equality and that's a basis that I'll fight for however the hell I want.
