Nobody died. Guess it's a start.

I know things have sucked a lot for everyone lately with the people dying and everyone being unhappy and scared about everything and stuff...but I know before I got here there was a party and a dance where people could just have fun together? Maybe...maybe we could do something like that again? Maybe it would be good for everyone to just have fun together and maybe make friends?

I mean, we're all kind of stuck here and maybe it would be good if we all kind of tried to pull together like a pack instead of avoiding everyone as much as possible and hating everybody.

I don't know. I suck at this. It just seems like it would be nice for us all to do something fun together and get to know each other better.

And I like dancing.

So I have a really, really important question that nobody's talking about.

How many condoms do we have? I mean, are they rationed? What do we do when we run out? I am not going to stop having sex because it's awesome and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

My name's Elena Michaels. I just arrived here the other day, but I've been reading through some recent conversations on the network and want to put something out there.

I'm a werewolf. In fact, I'm the Alpha of the North American Pack in my world. It's obvious that there are people here from many different universes, so I suspect that none of the supernaturals here have heard of us. I'm also a representative on something called the Interracial Council, which is a group of supernaturals who meet on a regular basis to address any issues that may be affecting our community as a whole. There are a number of supernatural races represented on the council.

Given some of the posts I've seen recently, I think it might do us well to put together something similar here. We all need to support each other and ensure that we are keeping ourselves and the other residents of the camp safe. There may be people here with unique dietary needs or other issues that they need help managing in this type of environment. I can understand the hesitation to be open about who and what you are, in fact, making this kind of announcement is strictly against Pack Law at home. But given the circumstances of what we're facing here, I think it's necessary to work together.

So I don't know how to not be stupidly dramatic about this, but I also don't want to try and make excuses for anything not normal I might be caught doing, especially since I'm trying to get on defense. Maybe I don't have to announce this at all, but I'm getting fed up with pretending in a place like this and people thinking I can't fight because of age. Seriously

I've got some fresh carrots from this morning, if anyone is looking for some, and I could use an extra set of hands on hauling to food to the community center.

And here I was, beginning to despair that the post-apocalyptic wasteland would have Twitter.

I'm going to go to the defense meeting, and I'm going to be honest about myself. Of course I won't mention anything about any of you, obviously. I would never. But at this point it kind of seems like they're just humoring us about not having some idea that we're not exactly normal. I could be useful, and given that no one is rallying around throwing out a succubus, I feel fairly confident in my decision.

Plus at this point I don't trust that I can keep an eye on myself. Pretending I'm human in a place like this is just going to get someone else hurt.

Like I said, this is just about me and I won't mention anyone else, but at this point I'm just making things more difficult for myself and everyone else. You all have the right to know what I'm doing.

This place sucks. We need to do stuff to keep people from dying. Despite what the blonde girl said, people don't have to die here.

How many of you have experience building a society from the leftovers of civilization? Maybe rather than passing judgment on the people who are making the effort to actually keep us safe, you should find ways to make yourselves useful and be productive members of the camp.

Death is unavoidable in circumstance like this. Yes, it sucks that we lost people, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse. And given the way this settlement is growing, it's entirely likely that it will be worse in the future. If you can't deal with that, then maybe you should try surviving on your own outside the walls.

All that being said, I have experience building and maintaining a smokehouse, if that is something people are interested in getting together.

Steve, if there's no objections, I'm going to go to a sweep of the area around camp to make sure nothing horribly nasty managed to get close and hide during all that fog. I won't go too far in case this isn't really over.

It's still foggy, but...well...it doesn't seem quite as creepy?

Is everyone else's water a delightful shade of brown and gross - or is that just us in medical?

Has anyone been keeping a list of all the people in camp? I think we need a roll call to figure out if anyone else is unaccounted for.

There has to be a source to this fog. I've worked with fog before, and smoke, I can usually produce enough of an air current to clear it out but it's not even making a dent. Either it's coming from a constant source or... I don't know.

I keep seeing children. Why did it have to be creepy kids?

Uhm hi. So this is by no means what is going to happen but I've seen this before. Well, Joey and I have seen this before. And I'm not saying this will happen the same way - but when we got stuck in a ash fog grossness thing like this before it got pretty bad. Like giant spiders and super creepy things bad. I still have nightmares about that freaking faceless zombie looking thing - We'd see stuff out of the corner of eyes all the time, and most of it didn't try anything but still creepy. Again I am not saying that this will be what happens but just, you know, heads up?

If you're from a place where you've got stories about things like that, you know that means I need a pretty specific supplement to my diet that I can only get from other living things, preferably in a real intimate way. But I really don't like sneaking into people's houses and having my way with the womenfolk, so if there's a few good men or women or whatever who'd like to volunteer, hit me up. The sooner the better, those things out there really don't give a growing girl what she needs.
