That's kind of the truth of it because the majority of us have no idea what to expect and you can't go into a gun fight with a knife and expect to come out on top.
They shouldn't have had to die for anyone to have a discussion about how poorly we've been trained and how we can improve that. I've brought it up in the past and nothing came of it. I don't think it's so terribly off-base for me to point out that by now, three days after a teenage girl found two dead bodies, no one has reached out to anyone about it for any number of reasons, like the ones I mentioned in the original post. The fact that I know one of the men is only because he was on our squad and he stopped showing up after Friday. So excuse the hell out of me for being annoyed at the way it's not even being acknowledged at all. I don't need a weeping post full of sorrow and sentiment, but an acknowledgement wouldn't be amiss, Nick.
I already talked to someone who will be handling it. I'll be going to it when it happens. And I don't feel like talking won't do any good, I know that it won't, because we've been down that road already well before you got here and it wasn't effective.
