Nick raised an eyebrow at that. "Survive," he repeated. "Not get back home. Is there not a way back?"
A pit was forming in the base of his stomach, leaving a very uncomfortable knot in its wake. He didn't like the sound of that at all. He'd have definitely been trying to find a way back these past few weeks had he had any idea on how he'd gotten here in the first place. He still wasn't fully convinced that this wasn't somehow just magic wrecking havoc. Maybe they hadn't actually defeated Alastair. Maybe this was a hallucination from that crazy witch, and the rest of his pack was at his mercy. Or worse, maybe he'd given into the change and was now stuck as a wolf forever, and this was just his mental way of coping with it.
All of these thoughts had crossed his mind at one point or another, and he didn't like any of them. "Are you from here or...? You don't seem too surprised by me being here, asking all of these questions. Does this happen a lot? Random naked guys showing up with no clue as to what's going on?"
