A soft sigh escaped her and Joey closed her eyes as she tried to relax into Stiles's embrace. It shouldn't be this hard, already, she thought...should it? She wondered if it was a bad omen or a red flag or if they were just especially unlucky and badly timed. What she did know for sure was that she was frustrated and dejected and it wasn't anybody's fault, so she didn't know who to blame or how to fix it.
Her eyes opened when she felt him kiss the top of her head. Stiles said she was worth it being difficult and she wanted to believe that, so again, she decided that she did. Whether she would continue to believe it, she supposed, was subject to change but for now, that was good enough. A small smile that fell a little bit short of her eyes tugged at the corners of her mouth and Joey finally looked up at him.
"I have to go back like really soon, but we can for a few minutes, yeah, I would like that," she admitted.
