Joey couldn't decide which was more distracting; the way her heart was racing or the way that her stomach was fluttering, both with excitement and anxiousness to feel this out now that the opportunity had finally presented itself. Stiles climbed into bed with her and he pulled her into his arms, which they did once in a while, but more often than not, even though she was smaller, Joey tended to be the big spoon. She liked this, she realized, because it felt especially nice.
Feeling his nose nudging gently at the back of her neck and behind her ear brought a bashful smile to her face and she sighed contentedly, closing her eyes. She didn't know what this all meant in the big picture, but at the moment, she didn't really care. If this was all she was going to get, then she was going to enjoy every second of it. And if it was just the start of something new, then that was even better, but she wasn't going to take the chance that she might squander a one-time opportunity.
Joey snuggled back against him and smiling to herself. It was something she said every time, but she always said it because she always meant it. "Have a good nap, Stiles." And for the first time since he'd started staying with she and Caroline, Joey finally felt relaxed against him. She really hoped this was the start of something new and wonderful, something that would bring them closer rather than tear them apart. Something told her that she'd finally found the light in the darkness and with that thought, Joey felt herself drifting off to sleep, safe and warm in Stiles's arms.
