Frowning, Derek looked over at Cora sidelong and rolled his eyes. She wasn't wrong, but that didn't mean he wanted to hear her say it, especially in front of someone else. "Thanks for that," he sighed.
Even without Cora sending him a very clear unspoken message, Derek was already on the same page. "No, no, we're done. You should practice," he agreed, giving Caitlin a small smile that fell a little short of his eyes. "Not that you need it as much as you think you do, but the gym's all yours."
Clearing his throat, Derek finally moved again, this time to retrieve his shirt from the stack of mats and he pulled it on over his head. "I'll see you around Caitlin," he said and nodded for Cora to follow him as he started out of the gym.
The end of one amicable conversation here was only the beginning of one far more aggressively lecturing one to come, he was sure of it, and he'd rather just get it over with sooner than later. So, he led the way out with Cora and hoped to hell that Caitlin really did mean it when she said she wouldn't tell.
