"That's true." she nodded to the other woman. "But on the other side, I'm trusting that your brother isn't a threat to anyone here. Imagine if I ended up being wrong and someone did get hurt" She looked back to Derek and nodded. "But I don't have a reason to think you are. You're welcome." She really hoped this wasn't going to turn out to be some sort of elaborate lie. But being around metahumans meant she had really learned to look past abilities and powers and make judgments on someones character instead. So far, Derek seemed like a good person.
Caitlin shrugged, "Maybe not. But I've seen the consequences of when a secret gets out." So maybe she couldn't relate directly- being an ordinary human, but she had seen what happened when the wrong person learned about Barry.
"So...I'd originally come here to get out of my lab and practice...but if you guys are busy, I can leave. Try again later." Whatever was happening here, it was none of her business. Though hopefully he wasn't going to try shifting form again in here. That plan hadn't worked out well for them.
