Raising one eyebrow, Caitlin crossed her arms over her chest and stared her down for a moment. She realized that this girl really could be like Derek, but they were just denying it. Not point in pushing it. Not now. Not that she thought they would try to hurt her, because they were in a small camp and people would notice if something happened to her.
She was a bit more relaxed when facing Derek. A combination of dealing with metahumans and being very aware that if Derek wanted to hurt any of them, he could have done so at any point in time. He hadn't laid a finger on her that wasn't without consent during training times. As far as she had heard, he'd helped keep them all safe when the infected had got in just before her arrival.
It wasn't the 'please' that won her over. It was because she could understand keeping a secret like this. Her entire career seemed to be centered around secrets at this point, and she didn't blame him for not wanting to go public with it. The secret of hiding a dog in the facility, and the secret of being something other than human were two very different things. Caitlin raised her own hands for a moment, palms up, before dropping them down by her side. "A dog is one thing. This isn't my secret to tell." she said with a shake of her head. "If you wanted to hurt any of us, you've had plenty of chances already. So no one is going to hear anything from me."
She offered a weak smile. "And I know my word doesn't mean anything to you. All I can say is that this wouldn't be the first time I've been asked to keep a secret like this. I won't tell anyone."
