His eyes moved back to her when Lydia admitted that she hadn't spoken about it, and he stared at her for a few seconds with a frown of disbelief. Scott was the Alpha. It was his job to make sure everybody was okay, and he knew how close Lydia and Allison were. It didn't matter if it hurt to think about her, Scott had to have known that it would hurt Lydia too, and she couldn't keep all of that to herself. He felt anger start to burn in him, the kind that started in the pit of his stomach to rise to his chest, but he took a deep breath to ease it away. He was trying to get better with that, too. His temper.
"That's not good, Lydia," he responded bluntly, shaking his head as he stared at her. "That's not okay, you can't do that. You can't keep all of this to yourself, it's not good for you. Jesus, Lydia, you're smart, you know how bad that is for you, you know that." He sighed as he sat up, letting his back rest against the back of the couch as he ran his hand down his face. "You can't just... not think about her, you can't avoid it like that. It's not going to work, first of all, and second of all... come on, Lydia." His voice softened, weak and quiet. "Allison wouldn't have wanted that for you, know know that just as much as I do. She'd want you to have closure, to talk about it so it wasn't weighing on you. She wouldn't want to see you on the fringes like this."
