Who: Patience, and open.
Where: Central Park
When: Late afternoon.
She was sitting on a bench, overlooking the pond. A rubik's cube sat in her hands and the woman proceeded to mix the colours once again.
It had been given to her by a grateful shop assistant after she calmed an irritated and busy man, and stopped a scene. She was informed it was a 'display model' and had a few scratches, too.
For almost three hours she had been sitting on the bench, redoing the rubik's cube time and time again. It wasn't the longest time she'd spent on a Central Park bench, waiting. It certainly wasn't the longest time she'd ever spent waiting.
Yesterday, after hours of waiting, a rather blunt old man who - it turned out - had managed to escape from his nursing home came to sit next to her.
Again, today, she came and waited for something unknown.
