--because I love you and who can leave Susannah untagged!
The way that skudding clouds across the sky sometimes made the world below seemed shadowed, and after they passed, the brightening that came in it's wake that much more stark, so too was that what it was like when first Svanhild appeared in any given area. The playground was within view of her office building, though still several blocks away. That wasn't why she had appeared within the area though. She'd been returning from a meeting across the city and had gotten distracted, singing along to the radio, hands taptapping on the steeringwheel of her little AMP Sky.
It was a sudden desire for one of the big, soft pretzels and a little cheese sauce to dip it in that got her attention, someone strolling down the street had one and it meant she had to find one too. She saw the familiar white and blue umbrella she sought and turned her car towards a nearby parking lot. It wasn't until she got into that lot that she started to feel something different, that twitch and shiver over her skin that meant that others were nearby, others of her own kind. She parked beside a cab and got out, stretching, reaching her hands skyward.
It was once she was out of the car itself that she recognized that strange pull, odd though, it seemed to fade the moment she realized it was there. She thought of it like an echo, something trapped in the very marrow of the 'mortal' girl, something from her father. She glanced around quickly but didn't see Skoll and didn't recognize Hati when she did see him.
It didn't matter, her attention was focused on the children upon the playground. The youthful goddess, made a beeline towards the sunny child, jeans and sneakers, a vee necked tee shirt in dark purple and that bright red hair bouncing on her shoulders. "Faeja!" she called cheerfully, jogging to catch up with the little girl and swinging her into a startling hug, twirling her once before putting her down again. "Don't tell me you're here alone?"
