Iris stepped forward and took his arm, ignoring the blush on his cheeks which, though he might not think so, was a little endearing. "For now, I'm Grace." She thought it was a name far enough from her own and any of her titles....if she was found out, her name wouldn't be the reason.
As they moved down the steps, she easily kept pace with him, and she took some time to admire his mask, as well. A fox. Was it a clue? Misdirection? Amusing, or nothing more than just a whim? It would be fun to find out.
"You didn't use your name, you're playing by the rules. Of course, the mask is the most important thing.....I've always thought so. It's so much easier to pretend you aren't you when there's a mask between you and everything else. It's amazing what a difference it can make."
