Of course she had and she was grinning like mad. She had hoped her opposite was around, because without him people expected false praise or let it get to their heads. It was a balancing act, and she actually liked him.

She gave him a wave once he glanced back and took a glass from a waiter, making a beeline towards one of her favorite people besides her mother and sisters. Everything was just all the more right with him around. Made more sense.
With a smile she extended the glass, "don't you look dashing. You need to wear suits more you know. I'm so glad to see you, it's been forever." With it just being her right now, things were quiet. Praise alone was...lonely.
