The drive to Seattle-Tac felt incredibly and painfully long. Though it was really only about half an hour, give or take, Hector continued to reflect back on his conversation with Helen's brother the night before. He had a sneaking feeling that he'd actually been speaking to both of them after hearing two hang ups, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was that the conversation had him in thought for nearly twenty-four hours straight, and that was a dangerous condition to be driving in.
Upon arriving, he idled the car for about five minutes before stepping out to greet the two at arrivals. Briefly, Hector wondered how he'd be able to recognize them, but how often did twins travel together, really? By 8:10 -- 8:12 by his watch -- the arrivals were finally coming down the hall, and though it was not a big group, he was having a hard time pinpointing the two among the mass. Finally, the prince spotted them, not bothering to signal his location with a hand as they, too, had laid eyes on him.
They pulled their single wheeled luggage behind them (but which one?), coming to stop in front of him without so much as a greeting. As though they were waiting for him to speak first. Hector took a deep breath. "How was your flight?"
One by one, they grinned identically. "It was alright. But there was this woman in front of us--" began the darker-haired one, and his brother jumped in with a laugh. "--and she couldn't figure out how to adjust her seat, so at some point her seat basically fell back into Cas's lap. I think we burst out laughing."
"We did, Pol. And that pretty flight attendant gave us the dirtiest look..."
Feeling like the odd one out in their amused little conversation, Hector simply nodded, and the twins finally made the move to introduce themselves. "Castor. No hard feelings after last night?" The first -- Castor -- offered his hand for a shake, which Hector accepted without a word. Pollux followed soon after with his own hand.
"We might've been a little forceful with the message, but we meant well, honest."
Troy's shining hero quietly cleared his throat upon shaking the other's hand. "You were worried for your sister's happiness. You should feel no shame in that," he informed them, words slowly quieting as he witnessed them sharing a secretive grin.
Fortunately, the drive back home was much shorter, particularly with the twins speaking in the back -- he himself didn't contribute all that much, and rather let them go on -- and the short journey up the stairs wasn't too stressful when Hector eventually took hold of their luggage and hauled it up himself.
He pushed the house key into the lock, and turned.
