"I'm sorry." He blurted immediately. This situation was new to him and it was making him nervous. He had no idea what he was supposed to do, how he was supposed to react or what exactly it was he was supposed to say. All of this was compounded by the fact that he was standing here looking right at Triteia and all he wanted to do was kiss her, sweep her off her feet and make the current awkwardness between them go away.
Running in the opposite direction seemed like a good idea too. Preferable even in light of the tongue tied garble that was currently trying to escape from his mouth.
"I'm sorry." He started again, slower this time and even less sure of himself. "I'm sorry for leaving you like that and...it wasn't right and I realize that now and I'm sorry I didn't before and...I miss you."
