He was ready to call out to Triteia as she walked past. Two things stopped him.
How was she supposed to recognize him?
And she was walking past the house.
Perhaps he hadn't thought this out as well as he thought he had. The momentary confusion had him stuck, hand half raised and the greeting he was about to shout died in his throat. This lasted for all of twenty seconds before the door behind Lincoln opened and a man who was best described as hairy started to step out.
"Honeybun! Is that you, why didn't you knock?"
Oh dear.
"No, sorry. Wrong house I uh, um...er...honeybun will be around shortly!"
Lincoln had no clue if that was true or not. Felt bad for any inadvertent lie he might have told even as he launched himself off the stoop away from the door and after the nymph as fast he could.
"Triteia! Wait up! It's uh, me Lincoln. I promise!"
