Who: Ares and Eris
What: Rescue
When: Tuesday afternoon
Where: The New York Public Library
It was a strange thing that anyone had given Eris a library card. Well, not strange in the eyes of the mortals, she was a pleasant-looking enough young woman. But it would have seemed odd to anyone else of her acquaintance. She did make herself not take the books home whenever she took them out, though, because things had an odd habit of disappearing once she was the sole person responsible for them. But now was not a day for books and reading. Today was a day for tricks and lying, and getting her own way. She had used one of the library's computers to speak to Ares - typing was difficult with her bandaged fingers, bandaged because she had used a pair of pliers to rip her fingernails from their beds - and she'd summoned him to pick her up, to take her home with him, where she planned to dig her claws so deeply into him that he'd not soon deny her what she wanted again.
Eris was seated on the steps outside of the library, arms crossed tightly, a pair of large sunglasses on her face to conceal the shiner she'd gotten when Ra had slapped her. Waiting.
