This... might have been a mistake. His reaction was not what she had expected. The shocked expression, the tension in his jaw, those were both signs that he seemingly had no idea that anyone had figured it out. Laurie had no idea how that could be, considering she learned it just by perusing his writings. I mean, if he was trying to hide it maybe he and Galahad could used mortal alias or some shit, and not openly call each other by there real names. That's what smart people would do, and she had always assumed knights were smart since they had to work their asses off to get their position at the round table and all that.
She took a step back in case he chose to flip his shit, talking quietly.
"Yes, they were a gift." Laurie wasn't sure where that nervous tone in her voice came from, but she'd ignore it for now. "It's always been me, since the vigilante conversation." She swallowed the lump that had been forming in her throat, playing with her wig as she pondered how best to answer him. One of the downed thugs began to stir, and without even thinking a combat booted foot thunked him in the ribs. A mumbled 'sorry' hurried to her lips before she could stop it, her eyes fixed firmly on her fingers while she took few deep breaths, starting slowly as the words came to her.
"Since late July, you referred to Galahad by his name openly and he used yours," looking up, she slowly met his eyes. "If you don't want people to know you two should be more careful."
