It was a typical Wednesday in the Narkissos-Oread household for all intents and purposes; the smell of Echo's cooking filled the air as did the sounds of their three dogs and the occasional happy cooing coming from Bastian, but today was different as far as Echo was concerned. Today was special. Pan was expected over, her first time seeing him since that Tuesday when they... well, and since he had been on Eros' show. She was a little nervous, but also excited, hoping she hadn't come off like a jealous ass from her texts to him that day and itching for the opportunity to show him how mature and settled Narcissus was helping her become.
It was almost silly, the pride she took in keeping her child, home, and man all happy, and the fact that she really did want Pan's approval on all of this spoke volumes that she honestly was afraid to read into. Instead, Echo concentrated on making sure everything looked as close to perfect as she could get it, fluttering around the house in the too-big purple and black plaid flannel button-down she had swiped from Narcissus (it was easier for for feeding times), and a black calf-length swingy skirt, barefoot, looking for all the world like a little domestic mother-figure with her hair pinned up in a messy twist and Bastian resting comfortably in her arms making cheery noises.
She had been dancing around with him when she heard a knock at the door, heading over to open it with a bounce in her step. Narcissus had stepped out for a bit, possibly to get hunting supplies or something equally manly, and she was alone except for Bastian and the dogs. Glancing around to make sure everything was in order, dvd's laid out on the table and the soup she had been working on simmering away safely on the stove, Echo smiled brightly as she finally opened to door to admit her guest.
