With a smile she sat down, gazing at the menu at the compliment. She could give praise all day long, but never expected in return. She didn't want to get a big head. She let her mother fuss, hiding the blush, "it's because I take after you, because I'm always blond no matter how different I may look."
"I'd say the same, but you always shine." She wasn't one to bank on looks though. "But anyway, how are you? I ended up going to the exhibition you suggested. It was nice, brought back a lot of good memories." It was easier to shift the conversation on something else, preferring the light to be elsewhere.
