Dancing through life...
Who: Echo and Narcissus
What: Happy birthday Narcissus!
Where: Dinner and some baby-free fun
When: Friday evening
Warnings: TBD?
As far as Echo was concerned, her plan to give Narcissus the most amazing birthday was going excellently. He enjoyed his presents, and they had spent the afternoon together happily until Daphne had arrived, when they took the opportunity to teach her all about taking care of Bastian. As they were led to their table for dinner, she was flush with the glow of success, thrilled that her careful arrangements had all paid off so well.
Wearing a black dress that just a few months ago she wouldn't have dreamed of, she gazed across the table at Narcissus with a soft smile musing about how much things had changed since she had encountered him almost a year ago. Admittedly, she now knew that even Eros had no idea that things would turn out so well thanks to his machinations in initiating their initial reunion, but destiny had a way of coming through and somewhere down the line it had decided that all of her patience and pining for a life with Narcissus was worthy of their notice.
Now, they had a beautiful baby boy, were planning on making their decision to make a life together official, and this was just the first step in Echo's plan to prove to Narcissus that like him she had grown and matured. Her flighty ways had become a thing of the past, and even though she wanted to stay friends with Pan, Eros, and others who had sometimes shown that they were not fans of Narcissus she was determined to prove their impressions of the man she loved wrong.
Lightly gripping his hand as the waiter approached with their menus, Echo hoped Narcissus was pleased with her efforts as well. If he was so inclined, and neither of them felt it best to get home directly after dinner, she had called ahead to see about creating the perfect atmosphere for them to spend a little while celebrating before going back to Astoria and their oddly comforting suburban life. It was all up to him, whatever he wanted to do tonight she'd go along with it with pleasure, all to make him happy and show that their life together and as a family would never be boring or mundane.
