St. Lucy Lux (eyescream) wrote in forgotten_gods, |
Traffic was terrible that evening, and it was the main reason that Lucy was running about ten minutes late. It wasn't a lot of time, really, but to her, it could've easily been an eternity, particularly in a city so big. Because it was Friday, there was a greater number of people on the streets, and maneuvering herself through the small crowds was so precise an art that she could've been an expert. She found the church easily, having already known where it was, and clutching her cake container, the frazzled saint scurried down the stairs to the lower level.
The others had already arrived and started to mingle, so as inconspicuously as possible, the blonde slipped across the floor to the dessert table and placed her chocolate lady fingers cake upon it. Putting on a calmer face, Lucy smoothed her dress down and moved to find George in order to apologize for her tardiness.
