Thomas eyed Mark briefly before smiling again, the bright, blinding smile that he used both when he was happy and when he wanted to cover up the fact that he wasn't precisely happy. "I'll start planning tentatively, then, and hope everything goes well."
Nodding, Thomas bit his lip slightly before replying. "Yeah, I know, you two are always so busy." He thought of another question and turned toward Glibt. "Papa, where are you going to work? Not at the Agenda, right?" Glibt, who had been largely quiet in order to let father and son work things out for themselves without interfering, looked slightly startled at being addressed, and just smiled lightly. "I think I'm going to aim for a counselor position at Harvey Milk High School. More low-profile, so your father and I won't have to deal with the paparazzi, and it'll only be part-time, so I can focus further on activism and have a lot of time to spend with you and your father." Thomas smiled in return. "I think you'll be really good at that!"
He then turned his attention back to Mark, blinking in surprise. "Well, he didn't really lay anything out in detail. He doesn't take care of any of that for the Highway, Cam does everything. But I know about utilities and, yeah, they'll be steep, but I'll be getting rental income from the cafe on the first floor, which will help somewhat in that regard. I've already researched cable and internet companies and chosen the options that would be best for me and my budget. Once I figure out my budget in full detail, though, would you want to take a look at it? I'm really good at math, but it'd help if I had someone... older and more experienced go over it with me, to make sure I haven't left anything out." Thomas ran his fingers through his hair again briefly. "And I'll take really, really good care of it. I'm a Beatles fan, of course, I don't want to hurt something so significant, you know? I won't change anything major, either, just find furniture that I like."
