It took some willpower not to get defensive even at the quirk of an eyebrow - Iris could guess well enough what was going unsaid. That Arke hadn’t said anything, however, Iris decided was more important, and she swallowed her explanations. They’d still be there later, and still be just as true as they were now…only she didn’t really believe they’d go a long way towards convincing her sister of anything. But….if she wasn’t going to start telling Arke why she hadn’t done this sooner, or about how she’d missed her or about how seeing her again made her feel…..what was she going to say? Everything Iris thought of sounded inane in her head, and they would sound much worse if she actually voiced them.
She hid a sigh and sat down, impressed with neither herself or the two of them as a pair.
