language, general bitchiness from Morgan's side, TBD
Morgan was early. She actually preferred it, as it gave her plenty of time to observe those who would come in and analyze them at her leisure. She'd do no less for her nephew. Especially with recent developments.
She might find everyone useful, but that didn't mean she agreed with them. Her nephews flirtations had been noted, and frowned upon. And she knew Morgause would have noted. Having the boy within reach of a seemingly well to do Someone could be a benefit. However she preferred the boy not to be a common guard. He should aspire to more. Or at the very least indulge in Morgan's schemes.
The fact that he may not want to was ignored. Personal choice mattered little. At least not in Morgan's eyes.
She would find out more, see if the rumors were true and helpfully remind Mordred of his situation. She wasn't his mother, and she suspected Morgause may have similar ideas, but the boy had a part to play. And while marrying him into a upstanding family could be a good thing, if what was whispered was true losses would need to be cut.
However, all she had was speculation and assumption. She'd ask questions, out of concern only though, do the worried aunt thing and get to the bottom of this. She didn't expect Mordred to answer them, or if he did to keep the truth hidden. They all still played the game of court intrigue, even without the court.
She sat back with her cup of tea, and let herself relax only slightly. Despite the intentions of this lunch, it gave her time away from her rather tedious job. If anything, that was a blessing.
