Marijuana smirked lightly; he could accept a compliment, even given in a dry tone. "I like to think I stomp expectations into little bits as I shove past them, yes. Something worth doing is worth doing well, big, over the top, with all of our family represented and enjoying themselves, even if they aren't all physically present." There was even cocaine at this party, which was probably at least partly responsible for Cam's level of stress.
"Oh, you're definitely right, I don't need an excuse for forgetting, it's part of my nature. Actually, I guess you could say that I was happy that I remembered this time, because it was an excuse to throw a party in general. It's been too long since our family gathered and, besides, I've been rather busy lately. There's nothing quite like letting off a bit of steam." And even though there was one presence conspicuously absent, Marijuana wouldn't let himself be too upset about it. He would give Tommy the time he needed to come around. "No, I don't believe you've been to one of these parties before. And I admit, I'm not a huge fan of the music either, it's more our brother's taste than my own. You should come to my next 4/20 party, the atmosphere is infinitely more mellow and relaxed, although the level of excess is equal."
Smiling lightly, Marijuana raised his hand, touching his fingertips against his lips, where traces of the glowing green liquid remained. "Matty-boy? He's a good kid. No forgiveness necessary, I'm not so possessive to begrudge him, or you, a couple of hours of fun. After all, I share him with Speed already. And..." Marijuana sat up and turned his head slowly. To be sure, Wes was leaning back casually against the wall about twenty feet away from them, eyes watching Marijuana closely. "See that bulky redhead who fails at looking like he isn't my bodyguard? That's his, ah... rather rough, possessive boyfriend. Matty's fun didn't end when he left your shop." Marijuana leaned back, smirking. "So no hard feelings from any direction, really."
