Mark watched as Glibt took out his phone, trying not to wonder what he was looking at while they were having an important conversation. He'd looked away from his computer screen, so Mark thought that the least he could do was turn off his phone.
"I'm not asking you to spy, Glibt, but if you suspected that Thomas was going to start dating or doing something else with a kid that --even if we are considering Thomas is a young adult-- is still several years older than he is, I'd like it if you told me. I don't want to know his every thought and feeling, but that was something you could have told me. It's not the same as my manipulating a government; this is my son."
Mark simply couldn't look at it as spying. Asking Jamie for CCTV images, that was spying. But he felt completely within his right, asking to know when Thomas made a decision like dating. "I should have left Jamie out of it, and Marijuana should have stayed the hell out of his mind, but we have a right to know these things as his parents." And neither of them were entirely comfortable with Thomas staying at Harvey's, though Mark absolutely hated that Marijuana had put that fear in his head.
"Thomas is loved already, by the way." Mark frowned. "No one seems to understand that I care about him, even though I'm not with him twenty four hours a day."
