As gods went the Highway was one of the easiest to find. The rules for summoning him were fairly lax, look long enough on any empty road and you were bound to find him. Lincoln, in a form of somewhat endearing obliviousness, was never actually aware when people were looking for him. He simply appeared where he was needed, where he was wanted. The rhyme or reason behind it wasn't important and that, that was what frequently got him into trouble.
He wasn't sure how long he had been walking (he never was). He paid no attention to the scenery, brows furrowed as he kept his eyes on the ground. He was lost in thought, in his own little world that consisted only of black asphalt.
