The comment did make him smile, "there's a reason the donkey's my animal woman." He glanced at her, glad to know that for now the arguing was over. He'd keep watch over the door, but was permitted to be around her.
He frowned at her comment, his mind working. He was smart, but hid that under layers of jest and crude jokes. The enemy was always surprised when the dirty joke telling bastard came up with an attack plan. He moved from the door, grabbed the chair and sat in front of her. "You knew I was here though. After everything, I had something similar." He wouldn't say it hadn't lasted too long. "It's why I came down here, being around them," he nodded to the door, "will help. There's time, but you need to let yourself rest. For once, let's pretend our relationship isn't fucked up all sort of complicated and I'm helping." Gently he took her outstretched hand. "Have your women prepare you a meal. Nutritious, lots of meat. Eat some of it."
He dropped the hand, eyes looking at her. "Talked to the kid. Damn boy's got a good sense of humor on him." He didn't say it was like his. Too many bitter wounds. "Send me a Vader voice changer. Potential there."
