Nephthys watched him from behind her messy locks and after he finished speaking something switched at the corner of her lip, something that could have almost been the beginning of a smile. "So stubborn," she agreed quietly.
She sat down on the bed with a sigh, knowing Set wasn't going to move away from that door. At least he wasn't trying to kill her. That was certainly an improvement. Then she spoke again, for the first time honestly about it. "I can't feel anything," Nephthys said quietly, lifting her hand in front of her to see it shaking, to show him as well. "I stood beside our siblings, closed my eyes, as it was as though I was alone. My own son walked into a room and I never knew. I can't even feel you, standing right there."
