Narcissus smiled back at Daphne briefly before turning his attention back on Echo. It almost felt like Echo's hand was keeping him grounded, keeping him from even realizing that he wasn't being nearly self-centered enough to live up to his name. All he could think about was the fact that before he knew it, he would be a father to a son that he could actually see and hold. It was a thrilling thought, and the reason the pain of Echo squeezing his hand so hard wasn't even registering as pain.
"I'll take a coffee, too." Narcissus said to Daphne, nodding in thanks. Who knew how long he'd need to stay up. He could do with some caffeine.
